Dr. Jenks is a highly knowledgeable and compassionate physician with extensive expertise in neurological and vestibular conditions.
Our family has experienced significant, measurable improvements under his care. After receiving her prescribed lenses, my daughter demonstrated marked improvement in reading fluency. Her previous symptoms -- including blurry, overlapping, shadowed, and moving letters -- resolved. We also observed noticeable improvements in her posture and gait stability.
My husband's results have been equally significant. Prior to treatment, he experienced substantial difficulty with driving, navigating long hallways, and tolerating visually stimulating environments (particularly settings with active movement or gesturing). Following evaluation and updated lenses from Dr. Jenks, he has regained the ability to drive, walk steadily without needing physical support, and participate in community activities. Most notably, he has been able to return to church after more than ten years of being unable to attend.
For individuals experiencing persistent vestibular dysfunction, balance disorders, dizziness, or neurological symptoms that have not responded to other interventions, we strongly recommend consultation with Dr. Jenks. His approach and expertise have made a meaningful difference in our family's quality of life.
Dr. Jenks changed my life! I spent a majority of my life with headaches, light sensitivity, noise sensitivity, and motion sickness. With my new prism glasses I have a whole new life without a majority of my old symptoms. I HIGHLY recommend taking the quiz and then making an appointment! He is also just a kind and compassionate human being.
Dr Jenks gave me my life back. I was diagnosed with BVD, superior oblique palsy and hyperacusis. My previous Ophthalmologist only diagnosed me with dry eye and disregarded my concerns and symptoms. My overall symptoms still were not relieved until I saw Dr. Jenks. I was feeling dizzy, nauseous, headaches, unsteadiness, anxiety, and had issues with using electronics. My new prism glasses enabled me to enjoy my work life balance again and not endure all the symptoms that I was encountering for years as I was never correctly diagnosed. Dr Jenks took the time to do thorough testing and was helpful and caring. Dr. Jenks and Outreach Vision office staff helped me pick out my new frames. I am so grateful I found Dr. Jenks and Outreach Vision office staff to make me feel better and value me as a patient!
Very thorough and competent. A comfortable experience with Dr. Jenks. Personable and professional. A great help with the dizziness I
was experiencing. Fantastic selection of frames. I strongly suggest you give this provider
a call. He's only five minutes away from me.
I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience it has been going to see Dr. Jenn's! For months I was too sick to do much - dizzy and nauseous all the time, headaches, and the strangest feelings when using electronics. With my new prism glasses, all that is gone and so many things I don't expect are gone or nearly gone as well (even though I've only had them for a few weeks!) - neck pain, shoulder and upper back pain, TMJ pain, sinus pain and so much anxiety. I had no idea that so many symptoms I've had for so many years could be a product of BVD! My ability to focus on my work has skyrocketed! Dr. Jenn's was so helpful and caring, and explained everything, as well as giving me some helpful tips that make things so much easier. I am so very grateful for his help (and that of the super kind office staff) and so glad that I found him!
You have seen the ticktocks, and you have wondered could this possibly be what wrong with me? Do I have BVD too? Take that as a sign, and make the appointment. I learned more about my health, and eyes, and life in an hour appointment with him , than in repeated appointments with others. My last Dr pushed aside my complaints and said I was getting old and it was just time to get stronger glasses so my eyes didnt have to work so much. Dr Jenks listened, and then he explained. Turns out i have BVD. And its changed every thing. My depth perception is amazing now, my headaches gone, driving at night? Easy. No more what i call offset vision, ** warning though** it took me almost 3 weeks to get used to the prosm lenses. After my body adapting for years, it didnt want to relax. I was dizzy and nauseous. My muscles in my back and nevk hurt... because i was standing straight instead tilted. Push through it! So worth it. My prescription went down, my headaches went dow, no more stumbling on the sidewalks or misjudging steps. Make the appointment and go. YOU are worth it!
I had a great experience with Dr. Jenks and staff at Outreach Vision. I have left visual field deficiencies from a traumatic brain injury and Dr. Jenks got me fit for corrective lenses that help me see much better than previously. Having the the right pair of glasses from Outreach Vision has helped reduce headache and equilibrium issues. I would highly recommend this optometry clinic to anyone looking for a medical team that cares about helping others. 5/5 stars!
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Jenks! I had no idea I was dealing with binocular vision dysfunction (BVD) until I saw him. Dr. Jenks took the time to thoroughly assess my symptoms and explain the condition in a way that made everything click. Thanks to his expertise, my score went from the high 40s to single digits--a transformation I never thought possible!
I'm already feeling so much better and am incredibly grateful to Dr. Jenks for helping me find relief. Highly recommend!
