Clarkson Eyecare

I have been going to Crown Vision for years but decided to switch to Clarkson. Dr. Schwamb noticed my astigmatism (apparently my old eye Dr didn't it before)in my left eye and came up with a solution to correct it without changing to a more expensive contact. This has also helped me not wear my readers as much which is a miracle in itself. Needless to say that I will be making the switch to Clarkson going forward!

Sienna at Clarkson Eyecare Zumbehl Rd in St Charles with an awesome help with me tonight. Though I got there at 5:30 which is 30 minutes before they close she was still willing to help me find my two new pair of frames needed for my glasses. She picked out one pair of glasses that was a different shade of purple than what I already have and another pair that were a grayish color with some designs on the side of them. Both pair of glasses were awesome they look great on me and we're very pretty. I would highly recommend this Clarkson Eyecare. However on the other hand there was a older lady that was there and quite rude and had a nasty look on her face when I came in wanting to see about getting glasses. This lady stated it's almost closing time it's really late and she mumbles something else to Sienna and told her to go ahead and take care of me. When another patient came out from her appointment she was quite friendly with that lady and asked her if she was going to get glasses today. The only difference between that lady and myself is the color of my skin is brown. If it had not been for Sienna I would have left and came back on a different day when that lady was not present.

The entire staff was great! Special shout out to Vickie Coleman she made my experience even better. She helped me decide on the best glass for me at a great price point

I was recently a first time customer at this location. When the cost of my glasses was significantly higher than I expected, the sales rep Vickie was intentionally misleading about the add-ons that led to that cost. I asked for clarification and was given an ambiguous response, along the lines of, "Yeah, insurance only covers so much." Only when I pushed harder did she mention ONE item, the "eyewear protection plan", which I promptly declined. Absolutely NO MENTION was made of the various lens enhancements, or the lens wipes, that were added to my bill with ZERO discussion, despite my obvious confusion and concern about the price. This was very clearly an intentionally deceptive business practice used by the sales rep to upsell without being upfront and honest with the customer. This is unacceptable and unethical, so I have no other choice than to find a new eyecare provider that operates with integrity. Upon closer examination of previous reviews, it is clear that this isn't the first time Vickie has been called out for deceptive sales tactics. Be warned, don't swipe your card until you see a full printout of what you're paying for. Shame.

I believe I found my new trusted eye care provider! From the check-in with Nicole and her help in the preliminary examination to the exam and analysis by Dr. Schwamb The annual exam was enjoyable. The staff has friendly demeanor and good customer service skills. Dr. Schwamb is thorough and a good communicator. Nicole assisted me with the purchase of new glasses and informed me of the deals available for an additional pair. Nicole is a delight and very helpful! The entire team made my experience one that will keep me returning for my eye care needs.

Vickie Coleman and everyone else at this facility were fantastic to work with! Vickie has a great eye in selecting very flattering glasses and left with a couple of brand new eyewear! Thank you for the great service!

I've been going to the Zumbehl location in St. Charles for years because it's close to the house. I always get contacts either 6 months or year supply. I just ordered another year supply that wont be delievered until Monday (5 days away) but no big deal because i have a pack left. I opened my last pair for the month, and one of the lenses are defected so I had to throw them away. I call this location and explain the situation and the lady says we can give you one. I go in two days later to see if I can just BUY a pair in store only for the lady to tell me no I can't and that they can't give me another "trial" pair. The glasses that I have are scratched up and about 7 years old and giving me headaches. At this point, convenience is no longer important. There's plenty of optometrists in the area. I'll never give Clarkson my business again.

The staff today at Clarkson - Bogey Hills was awesome as usual! And Vickie took very good care of me at the end as well! Thank you to Dr. Schwamb and staff! See you next year!
