Dr. Thiessen is great . I do have an issue that I thought was not handled appropriately with regards to office staff. The office makes you buy the drops from them which are $110 . These are to use after cataract surgery. The second bottle of drops I got was either not completely full or leaked. This meant that instead of 2 weeks of drops for my eye, I only got in about 4 days before it ran out. I could tell it leaked from the yellow around the label, likely while it was in the bag they gave me waiting to be used until after my surgery. I called to ask for another bottle or asked if they could send me a prescription out so I could use my insurance. The girl I spoke to said, "they don't make these drops at the pharmacy, which I found VERY odd. It's a steroid drop...She told me I could come in and pay another $55 to which I said I'm not doing since I felt the bottle leaked. I had already spent $110. So she said "I don't make the rules". I told her I guess I would go the week and a half without the drops I needed . She was completely good with that and we ended the call. No concern , no care , no "I'll speak with the doctor" .... Nothing . That was it.
This doctors office is the worst when it comes to scheduling and cancelling appointments and billing. I have updated my address with this company on numerous occations, I am a patient for crying out loud. However, I never get a bill. Rather than picking up the phone to call you about a balance, they just let it go and go until they turn it over to collections. For the record, I have always paid my bills here when they tell me I have a balance when in the office. When I called today to ask why they didn't call me, "that's not our policy". Yeah, you would rather send someone to collections than to give them a courtesy call. I also stopped going here because of the amount of wait time in the office - and never an apology for being late, or having to cancel my appointments the day before. It's hard to get an appointment here and have to schedule months in advance, then they cancel the day before. Thanks for nothing Ophthalmology Associates.

I've been rescheduled for my initial appt 3 times now. I finally canceled today when they called to reschedule me again. Don't waste your time.
Long Wait, But Excellent Care and Kindness
The wait was long and, honestly, pretty boring--especially for a 10-year-old. Even adults can find the process of getting the eye examined slow and tedious. We've been through this many times before, so we came prepared with ways to stay busy until we eventually had to turn to electronics.
What made this visit stand out was the kindness and compassion from both the staff and the doctor. They were incredibly understanding, and their warm attitudes made a big difference. Our morning appointment ended up stretching into lunchtime, and when they saw we were still waiting, they offered us chips with a smile. It was such a simple gesture, but it made us feel cared for.
Hospitals and clinics could all take a page from this office--true hospitality goes a long way.
Cataract removal and lens replacement was painless, fast and very professional. Cloudy vision changed to clear with bright colors. After surgery test 20/15. I don't wear glasses for the first time 59 years. The after procedure follow-up care and exams are wonderful. Outstanding personnel.
Office staff and opthamology tech were wonderful Dr. Berdy was abrupt and condescending and never greeted me, he just stated I'm not giving you the test, I only give that test with other tests after you are placed on the medicine for several weeks.
I told him that I had already had the test and was not going to be put on the medicine.
He did not give me any info about what he had found and said he would send a letter to my primary and consulting doctor with the results (not the nurse practitioner that I had actually seen )"I only send information to the doctors". Over a week later I still had received no info except from my primary doctor who had contacted his office at my request. A week after the appt I went to his office and asked for my results. I had eleven new diagnoses that I had not been told about.
The worst was that in the documents, he stated that he had "counseled me about the diagnoses and had given me educational handouts and I had received nothing- no comments, no results, no info.
He even tried as he abruptly left to shake my hand with blue surgical gloves that he walked into the room with.
Dr. Berdy may be good clinically but he did not treat me in a professional manner or as a person of worth.
I saw Dr. Royer earlier this week for Dry eyes. At the end I almost got a feeling like I was watching some commercial in a movie theater or Netflix. He was like:
Buy Fish oil tablets from this pharmacy( not disclosing the name here). They are the best, everywhere else in the world they are crap.
Buy eye drops from our front office.
Scan this QR code and they will send you some wipes.
Somebody will be calling you regarding your prescription.
I was not feeling good after the visit and it felt like he was promoting a bunch of stuff for reasons known to him. So I canceled my follow up appointment with them and not going there again.
I'm very pleased with everyone at this facility. Dr Royer is friendly and professional. I think there could be better time management. The wait is quite long
