Clarkson Eyecare

It was time for new glasses so we went into 3 different optometry locations looking for glasses we liked. This location has a sign on the door that said reservations only. We walked in and looked at the wall of glasses and were never approached. We walked out and went to another optometrist down the street. The place we chose was much busier but the employees were more attentive and helpful.

Dr. Jacobs was amazing with our 7y/o nonverbal autistic son. She was kind, patient, and mindful of not pushing him outside his comfort zone. She was considerate in allowing him to visit prior to the actual appt, so he would feel familiar with the office. We've taken him to regional eye care in the past, which the visits were never positive and we often felt judged by the staff and doctors. Dr. Jacobs and her staff were welcoming, accommodating and we had our first successful eye exam!

I always thought of Clarkson Eyecare as a "chain", but when I couldn't get in to see my ophthalmologist for months, my daughter suggested I call Clarkson. Her daughter goes there. They were able to see me within days, and I've not often been treated so well by staff there. The exam was informative, efficient, and complete. They explained if I ever had a problem such as macular degeneration, they would refer me back to the ophthalmologist I had been seeming previously. However, I just needed a new prescription. My glasses were ordered and came in within a couple of weeks. Very pleased with results. Also, there was a Clarkson Eyecare 5 minutes from my home, which made it very convenient as well. I will definitely go back and I've already referred others to them as well. Thank you!

Dr. Aimee Jacobs performed the most comprehensive and thorough eye exam I have ever had. She listened to my concerns, answered my questions and explained everything I needed to know pertaining to my visit. She took the time to get to know me and shared things about herself. She genuinely cares about her patients.

Will not be going back. I scheduled an appointment and the next day I get a text saying my appointment is canceled. I called and she said it was because I did not confirm my appointment. I did not get a text saying to confirm and I had just made the appointment the day before. They filled the spot that I had made. This is so frustrating. Not the only issue I have had there. This was the last straw. So now I have to find another place for my entire family. Very disappointed

Great experience at Clarkson Eyecare. The eye exam was thorough and professional, and the staff made the glasses fitting easy and comfortable. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer my questions. Highly recommend!

If I could give a zero I could. I was looking to switch eye doctors and I considered Clarkson eyecare which was a mistake. Walking into my first appointment, the staff and the environment overall felt very cold, unwelcoming, and standoffish but I went ahead with my appointment anyway. I ordered two pairs of glasses that together were expensive, but I liked both. After receiving the first pair and trying them on they did not work, either my prescription was wrong or the thickness of the lenses made it to where I felt like Vomitting and very off balance so I went back to my old pair. I went in to pick up my old pair and it was the same issue and I asked what my options were and I was told that I would have to pay almost an extra $100 to attempt to fix the issue. After already spending a lot of money on both pair I felt like that was a slap to the face and asked for a refund for both pairs. I was then told the branch manager would have to be contacted, which was fine. I left both pairs of glasses at the mid rivers location. Subsequently I was called and told that I would not be getting a refund so I would either have to pick up glasses that I would never wear because of those issues with no resolution to the issues stated (I did not) or I could donate them with no refund either (I did not either) which was an even bigger slap to the face. Either way I would lose the money I spent. They are not willing to work with you and it seems as if everything is up charged. I was actually charged for two different scratch resistant features which makes no sense. Avoid clarkson eyecare at all costs. I will be reporting to my insurance company.

The staff was very friendly. The optometrist was exceptional! She was very personable, professional, and helpful. The best I've had at this location in years!
