Today I had my second eye exam here, and it was a great experience. Everything went super efficiently, but there was no sense of being rushed. That's a hard balance to find! Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Everything was explained clearly, in advance, but I never felt talked down to. Another impressive balance. The folks there are true professionals who are also super kind and down to earth.
Thanks for helping me with my eyeballs and I'm excited for my glasses!
I've been coming to Montana Eye Care since I was 9 years old when I needed glasses. I have came yearly since for my annual and ordering new contacts. I have always valued the care I've received. I truly appreciate the previous doctor (Simmons) and now the current doctor (Bundy) and his wife who works front desk - they are WONDERFUL.
However, over the past five years or so, I've consistently had negative experiences with the staff member who handles insurance and ordering. Unfortunately, she has come across as rude, condescending, and dismissive during multiple visits. I've tried not to say anything because I genuinely like the providers, but the repeated interactions have become too frustrating to ignore.
I've left in tears more than once because this same lady treats me horribly, and constantly talks down to me. My most recent visit, when asking questions about my new insurance policy and my daily contacts rebate, I felt rushed and that my questions were met with annoyance rather than clarification. I left feeling frustrated and upset. Now I'm not even sure if I'll get a rebate or anything but I couldn't keep interacting with her regardless of the 200 and some money back (which should say a lot).
It's disappointing because everyone else in the office is fantastic, but this recurring experience has continued to negatively impact what would otherwise be a great visit. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I truly value the practice and would love to continue coming here with confidence.
The reception staff were kind, friendly, and so helpful to go to the trouble of finding me in the Medicare system despite the fact that I had lost my card.
The Tech whose name I have forgotten was super nice and answered all my questions and was also just a very kind, pleasant, intelligent-- human being. You are lucky to someone like him on staff!
The Optmalogist greeted me warmly and offered his hand to me-- then proceeded to explain the various parts of the exam, was very strength-based about the health of my aging eyes, and answered all of my questions very patiently and comprehensively.
Clearly a number of improvements have been made in the office to keep up with the latest optomalogy advances. No more air shot at your eye while telling you not to blink-- thank goodness!
I appreciate the newness of the equipment but equally appreciate, seeing the familiar faces at the office of the dedicated women who stayed on in thevtransition between doctors. I believe they are the secret ingredient in this office for maintaining the invaluable small town Missoula, trip to the eye doctor "vibe".
Thank you ALL for the positive experience.
Respectfully, Ellie Greenwood
Dr Bundy and all staff are great. Friendly, fast, and knowledgeable/helpful about the annoying insurance minutae . Dr Bundy will remember what you talked about last time / little details etc that let you know he's on top of it. Gave me a great consult on whether to do LASIK based purely on what's best for me. They also have the new eye exam equipment that doesn't blow a ton of air into your eye! Highly recommended
I've been going to Montana Eyecare for years. It was great under the previous ownership, and it is just as good under new ownership. The staff and doctor are all so kind and always helpful.
Dr. Bundy and the entire staff at Montana Eye Care go above and beyond for their patients and customers. I've had a couple "unique" eye care needs the last few years and Dr. Bundy leveraged patience, experience and whole health care concepts to properly diagnose my eye conditions and now my vision/eyes are normalized without having to go on life long treatment. I'm so glad I was referred to him otherwise I'd still be struggling with blurred vision or worse by going down an extensive treatment option. If anyone has "unique" eye care needs, I'd recommend a consult with Dr. Bundy before going anywhere else for expensive treatment.
You could tell everyone genuinely enjoyed being there. The staff was welcoming, and the value for the cost of my visit really stood out. This experience reinforced for me that small-business health care is absolutely the way to go.
I had the best experience here. Everyone was just as excited, if not more excited, when we were able to get contacts that work with my keratconous. They knew exactly how to get my insurance to reimburse my expenses after many other offices had zero luck. Plus, I don't think it was even a week after my initial appointment before the approval went through. Highly recommend.
