09/01/2023 (appointment date). I've never had glasses before, so this was my first experience. The woman that actually looked at my eyes and examined me was very friendly and professional. I had zero issues with her. The other women in the office were not very friendly. Picking out my first pair of glasses was very awkward. The worst part of my experience was that I was told (by the woman who actually wrote out and ordered my glasses prescription), that my glasses would likely arrive by the next time I was going to be in town, which was almost 2 weeks away. I live 1.5 hours away, so I didn't want to make a special trip for the glasses. I called the day I was in town to see if they had arrived and the woman on the phone was rude, saying that "you were told it would take 3 weeks. We will call you when the glasses come in!" I was just excited to get my glasses and felt like she was being so rude. It really dampened my excitement. A relative was going to be in town a couple days later, so I was going to have her pick them up if I got a phone call that my glasses had come in. I hadn't gotten a phone call, but my relative was in the area of Montana Family Vision Care and wanted to pop in and check to make sure they hadn't come in yet. She was met with hostility and rudeness. She gave them my name and one woman continually insisted that "she's not a patient of ours. It's probably the other vision place with a similar name", and "We told her it was going to be at least three weeks!" (Which isn't true). My relative called me after she left and was very upset by how she was treated. And she was merely doing me a favor. It was a day or two later, I got a phone call that my glasses came in. I had a different relative pick up my glasses. The woman on the phone was not friendly at all. I was given my glasses in a flimsy case and the right lens had a scratch on it. The glasses came with no paperwork, no instructions of care, no "thank you for buying your glasses with us." I am going to buy different glasses online. Had I known that my experience was going to be like this, I would've gone elsewhere. I read through a few reviews and it seems others shared similar experiences. Getting the exam was the only part of this experience that was good. The rest of it was terrible. The customer service needs to step it up a notch or two. All the interactions I had were unpleasant and it seemed the women I spoke to all didn't like me because they found me impatient, but I was only going by the original time that I was given. I was being treated poorly for being excited to get my glasses. Also, the glasses were expensive, even with my insurance. Edit (responding to General Manager): I noted that my appointment was on 09/01/2023. By searching under that date, you would've seen (possibly), an appointment under the last name "Bannout". I go by my middle name, Keaton. When my relative came in to get my glasses, she gave you my proper, first name, and you had told her I wasn't in your system that day also. Maybe just a mix-up. I would love the opportunity to get my scratched lens replaced.

I've never had an issue with previous appointments when Dr Hall was my eye dr and the gals that worked there a couple years ago weren't nearly as rude as they are now. Same issue with the receptionist being clueless on asking insurance questions I let her know prior to the appointment I needed to know the price of the exam and how much I will have left for my glasses limit as I have a new insurance. She called them and didn't even ask if my insurance covers glasses. Today I called and the first gal that answered was more than willing to email me my prescription. I didn't receive the email so I called again around 12:30. The gal who answered was so extremely rude and told me they don't email them and it's only mailing or pick up. The gal earlier was more than willing to help which I told her and she asked for my name and said they probably won't get it emailed to me by the end of the day. Also said they are in the middle of a meeting. Sounded more like an excuse for laziness.

My eye examination was uncomfortable. The Dr. spent max 15 (non-consecutive) minutes testing my vision. It was my first time at this office and they had no history on me, so my appointment should have been much longer. I spent at least 35 minutes in the exam room, however the male doctor spent his time inquiring about me for his "single son". I'm not adverse to compliments nor to kind conversation, but the doctor was demeaning about my pursuit of education. He insisted I was just "partying in college". At the end of my appointment he stated word for word "I shouldn't be doing this, but you seem like a great girl. Could I set you up with my son?". If I had received an accurate prescription then I wouldn't even complain about any of this. But my prescription is completely off, my previous eye conditions were not addressed, and now I'm having trouble with my insurance about getting new lenses and getting another appointment.

Dr. Hadnot is wonderful to work with. She does a great job educating on issues, does a very thorough exam, and I've had no issues with my prescription. I look forward to every appointment I have with her. The front desk ladies and the lady you order frames through are a different story. I misheard my appointment time once, so I arrived late. The front desk people were very short with me and were very agitated we needed to reschedule. Later, I got a call that the doctor would not be in, so we needed to reschedule again. Not a problem. I gave them my availability, but the person disconnected without telling me the new date and time. When I came in 15 minutes before check-in, and the woman acted very irritated that I was early. No winning here. When I picked out my frames, that lady was short with me as well. I felt really uncomfortable, and I felt guilty when she pointed out I wasn't eligible for new frames yet. Not a great experience.

I have been going to Montana Family Vision Care for the past 9+ years. They have always gone above and beyond to ensure that I am happy with both my contacts and glasses. They have always been accommodating to eye injuries and fitting me in the schedule same day. They also have on of the largest selections of glasses(both Medicaid and non-Medicaid) and sunglasses to choose from and they offered at a really good price compared to other clinics. They have a large variety of contacts to try on till you find the one that works for you! I honestly couldn't hope for a better eye clinic for my eye care. 10/10 would recommend for anyone. Also love the Backwoods Montana theme of the office and the warmth provided by the staff. Please go in and visit, you wont be disappointed!

The headache isn't worth it. Like other bad reviews, my eye exam was pleasant and quick. But I haven't gotten my 2 sets of glasses these guys sent off for me. It's been 7 weeks and counting. They were estimated to be delivered to me in 2-3 weeks. At the 5 week mark, I called. I was rudely told "if we didn't call, we don't have them" and that was the end of the conversation. Called back 2 days later, turns out they had them the whole time. I was then told I didn't pay for shipping and that's why they were at the office. I do not live in Missoula, I'm over an hour away and I am 100% sure I paid for that when I was in the office. Why would I pay $400 for my glasses, request that they're shipped and then not pay the damn shipping cost?! I didn't fight, I paid for shipping AGAIN. Then was told that they would get shipped. It's been another 2 weeks and I still have not received my glasses. They have no tracking number or evidence they shipped my glasses besides someone in the office stating "yeah I did." What's great is I had issues with getting my glasses shipped the last time I was here. It took 5 weeks because they "forgot to ship them" last time, they just sat in the office for 3 weeks without letting me know. Never again, only went here because it's one of three places that takes my insurance

My experience has been stellar across the board. Dr. Hall's examination was diligent and meticulous. The office staff is very inviting and friendly and has been exceptionally proficient in working with my insurance and helping me every step of the process. Very good communication about any bumps in the road, which are almost inevitable in today's world.

My experience with Dr. Hadnot was great. She was very knowledgeable and kind and made the eye exam process very easy. If you just need an exam, they were able to get me in quickly which is nice, and Dr. Hadnot is always available for any questions I might have.
