Dr. Hsu is the Absolute BEST of the BEST! I CAN SEE! How does one leave a review describing Dr. Gregory Hsu, DO, Ophthalmologist, Cataract Surgeon's remarkable ability to restore sight? His confidence, humility, and that HE literally came back to his office between surgeries to do an emergency exam based on my terrified description to his Medical Staff the day I called his office at Sunset Eye Center. Dr. Hsu went above and beyond anything anyone would expect from a busy Surgeon. His pure skill doing my extremely difficult Cataract Surgery, complicated by SLE, Ehlers-Danlos connective tissue autoimmune disorder was brilliant and far beyond a standard procedure cataract. I had lost my sight in less than a week, from unrestricted vision, to legally blind in 7 days. Dr. Hsu did my cataract surgery, there was a moment during the surgery of hyper-focused silence, 15 minutes later I opened my eyes in recovery at Flamingo Surgery Center, I could see. The surgery was painless. I was blind at 6am, at 10am I could SEE. 24 hours later in Dr. Hsu's office at Sunset Eye Center my eye was 20/25, 4 weeks later 20/20, perfect. When Dr. Hsu called me personally a few hours after my surgery to "See how I was doing?" I was so grateful I responded with, "Today you are God! Because this is a Miracle." His response was humility... Mine was that of a blind person who could see. There was nothing else I could say to adequately express my gratitude. My other eye was completed on 2/10/20, this was review was typed 2/13/20 without glasses. Everyone treated me as if we had been friends for years even though I had not met any of them before. Dr. Hsu and his Medical Staff, by definition set the high bar for "Standard of Care." This is the best Medical Care I have ever received from beginning to end. I cannot thank them enough. Note worthy: - I have never waited longer than 5 minutes, from my scheduled appointments, to being in the exam room face to face with Dr. Hsu. - Painless Surgery, rapid recovery, spectacular results. - If you have any hesitation regarding Cataract Surgery do not, you will be amazed by the outcome.
