Wellish Abrams Vision Institute

This is my second time seeing Doctor Kent Wellish, I went here because my retina doctor told me I have cataracts and I need them removed. But Doctor Wellish used every computer in his arsenal and the only thing I have is dry eyes, he never pushes for unnecessary surgeries or procedures and takes the time to explain everything in very layman terms. I buy the vitamins and other products at the office, they are cheaper than Amazon. I love Dr Wellish. If the wait times are long, it's because he really takes the time to listen to each patient.

Easy check in at kiosk. Very pleasant staff. Called up at time of appointment. Very little wait time. Staff explained what they were doing as they performed tasks. Dr. was pleasant. He gave me straight details of my eye conditions and suggested treatments that made sense. I love this clinic. Everyone should go here for eyecare.

Terrible wait times for appointments. Had an appointment scheduled 3 months in advance with Dr. Wellish. Arrived prior to my appointment time and it still took 2 and a half hours AFTER the appointment time to actually be seen. And this wasn't a one time thing. I have had 3 appointments with Dr. Wellish in a year and each time took over 2 hours to be seen. The other technicians there keep you busy in between the wait times with tests and such. Very unprofessional to schedule appointments for people only to see them hours after the appointment. Many don't have the luxury to take a whole day for one doctor's appointment. If you like a doctor's office to not value your time and not adhere to your appointment times with lengthy delays, then go right ahead to this place.

I waited about an hour from my 8:10am appointment to see Dr kostanyan. He didnt ask me any questions about my clinical signs and then immediately just said one of my punctal plugs was infected. When i expressed concerns that the pain in my eyelid was not in the nasolacrimal/puncta location he did not seem receptive to my concerns. Just kept saying it was an infection of the plug which he prescribed a steroid for. I was concerned about a stye or blepharitis issue which he made it seem like a tear duct infection and stye and blepharitis were all the same thing. I also have bad dry eye which he told me wasnt that bad even though they did no tear testing on me. I got a second opinion immediately after that visit which that doctor felt i had a mild stye and to start using warm compresses and prescribed an oral antibiotic to take if things got worse. I now have to go get another punctal plug placed since i do have dry eye and i had prior surgery on that puncta/duct which has predisposed me to be drier with that eye. I have seen enough eye doctors and gone to an ophthalmologist at a mayo clinic as well that i did not trust Dr. Kostanyan's medical opinion. Overall very disappointed, it just seemed like he didnt really put much thought or effort into my case. I also find it concerning that an office can be an hour behind for an 810 appointment when they open at 8am. They should also fix their kiosks in the front. It took them 25 min from when i let them know that the kiosk programs had crashed and i couldnt check in along with 3 other incoming patients that had similar issues with the kiosks before they tried to trouble shoot them.

I have been a patient for many years and this appointment was by far the best experience I have ever had. Everyone was friendly helpful and made me feel welcome.

Give yourself the gift of sight without the use of glasses or contacts...YOU ARE WORTH IT! Best investment that anyone can ever make When you consider the cost of eye exams and glasses or contacts in the span of 10-15years, it's makes so much more sense to use that towards Lasix. Initial assessment is free and my counselor Katie was attentive to my inquiries(multiple emails) and recovery. The surgical team is the best, they were so enthusiastic and reassuring throughout the process Highly recommend Wellish Vision to everyone, thankful for my optometrist for referring me to them

Showed up at 2:05 pm for my 2:15 pm appointment. instructed to sing in (with my ID and proof of insurance), even if you had pre-registed. Why make patients do this again if pre-registerd? Then waited in a crowed exterior waiting room for over an hour. Finally called at 3:35 pm. Saw a technician who conducted a series of eye exams and the told to wait in the interior waiting room. Again, very crowded. Waited another 45 minutes before being seen by another technician, who conducted another series of eye exams. Went back to the interior waiting room and waited again another 45 minutes before seeing the Doctor. Time now, 4:35 pm. Spent less than 5 minutes with the Doctor. Departed at 4:45 pm. There is no reason that this appointment should have taken 2.5 hours. Appears that there was only one Doctor working. Very frustrating. Either have more Doctors working or don't have so many patients scheduled at the same time.

Always excellent. The doctors and the staff are attentive, friendly and take care of your appointments with professionalism and are thoroughly invested in you. I highly recommend them.
