the front end of the practice is so bad that it can only get worse from there. To penetrate their phone system to even return a call-- plan on 10 minutes. Ask a question not common-- you won't get an answer except "ok". 45 days in between calls for a referral. The office is run so poorly that who wants to take a chance on their vision hurt! Your staff speaks for your office--remember that. How a doctor allows their staff to treat patients (with indifference and neglect) speaks to how that practice is run. I gave up before I even got in.

My wife had a reaction to the post surgical meds which burned and swelled her eyelid. Our OD faxed this information to Dr Hiss's office 6 days ago and we've heard nothing from Dr Hiss. We called his office and were told the records were in a different building. We canceled the second eye pending hearing from Dr Hiss, the actual surgeon. I'm less than impressed with his patient care. There was no follow up call from Dr Hiss.

Dr. Hiss and Dr. Macintyre were absolutely the best I have ever experienced! My dad and I had to run to Reno from Elko quick to see these guys. Once we got there we felt no pressure or rush at all from Dr. Hiss. We didn't get to Reno until after 530 pm. He made us feel absolutely comfortable and wanted to make sure everything was okay with my dad! Then since we were staying the weekend in Reno Dr. Hiss had his associate Dr. Macintyre see my father as well the next day which was Saturday to make sure everything was going to be okay. These Dr's are the best of the best! I would recommend them to anyone who needs any help in the field they are in!

I am was treated very well. Two things I was surprised by.One was that each time I went there I was seen by 3-4 different people at each visit.The other is that they should have a sign..TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE in the waiting room.
