Wish I was offered to make my glasses thin, I have bad vission. When i called i spoke to the optometrist n she said that the glasses were already in progress n that she didn't know if i was or wasn't offered to make them thin. I told her that it wasn't offered n she said i don't know if it was or wasn't. I told her that i had barely gone on Dec. 22nd, they closed on Dec 25 and the weekend. She's like well your glasses should get here on Monday Jan 5th. I waited a week n called them on Jan 5th, 6th, my glasses had not arrived. i just got my glasses Jan 7 n they are so thick, i really need them but how am i supposed to use them for work? I was willing to pay the $145 they charged me to get them thin, the framed cost me $200 and the glare thing i ended up paying almost $500 dlrs. But they told me that i had to wait till i got them back and then send them back for 2 more weeks plus to get them how i wanted. Im so upset. Really had a bad experience and not a friendly place. Now i have to find a place where they could make them thin.

I paid a lot of money for the frames. The lenses we're second rate and it took me over a month to get my glasses. Even after my continuous calling to find out where they were.
I have been a longtime patient and customer of Family Eyecare Associates, as well and my family. We used to see Dr. Duffus for many years and were saddened when he left but we are still very happy with Family Eyecare Associates staff and Eye Doctors. I recently went back after trying a new business, which was not up to the parr with Family Eyecare Associates excellent care and professionalism. I went back and started to see Dr. Marchant, who is also an amazing Eye Doctor! He was very professional and did a very thorough eye exam. He offered me a few different kind of contacts and I was very happy that he gave me options and explained what the different brands can do to help me see better, both for driving as well as reading. I found some beautiful glasses and sunglasses that I'm excited to go back and buy when my new contacts come in. I typically always buy a years worth of contacts and at least 1 pair of glasses, and this year I will update my sunglasses as well. The pics I've attached were just a quick snap of the pairs I plan to buy and just wanted to capture the style numbers and a glance at the frames. Not the best pics I could have taken but were a last-minute snap of the camera! I have dual insurance, that are both accepted, and I'm very happy with the deals Family Eyecare Associates has to offer. The front desk staff ladies are all amazing and funny. Made me want to stay all day and crack jokes!!! The wonderful Eyecare associate helped me browse for just the right pair of glasses, she really looked to my face shape and helped me to pick out the perfect pairs! She was an excellent listeners and was just perfect for myself needing some helpful advice on shape and sizes of all excellent brands of frames and lenses. I for sure will continue being a patient of Family Eyecare Associates for now and into the future. Each and every staff member that I interacted with were very professional and made me feel like a welcomed and valued member of their Eyecare family! Thank you, Family Eyecare Associates for everything! Excellent Experience all around!!!

Best experience for vision care, all the staff are helpful and nice, by appointment, they take you in and fast, if for contacts or precription lenses, they have the top brands and latest and nicest frames you can choose! Definately feel like apart of the family here!
One text said that my glasses were ready, but I never got it. No follow-up at all. I finally went in three weeks later to find they had been there for weeks but had not contacted me. When I arrive, no one in the office is even slightly interested in me waiting at their desk. They walk by, and workers in the back are having a loud conversation. I finally get someone to talk to, but I don't feel welcome at the glass ordering part of the business. They gave me someone else's prescription when I went to order online.
Family Eyecare used to be great, but ever since they were bought by VSP everything's gone downhill. I had an appointment (which I confirmed online), but when I went to check in they didn't have the appointment on file. According to the receptionist (lovely lady, super apologetic), sometimes when people confirm their appointment their system decides to cancel the appointment instead. If this was a one-time thing I would understand, but over the last 3 years it has happened with an embarrassing degree of consistency; for me and the other members of my family, we can confirm at least 5 (possibly more) other times in which this issue or something similar has occurred. My family and I have been coming here for years, but it's unacceptable to have to take time off of work only to find that their system has deleted my appointment, and they can't get me in on a date that works for my schedule until after the new year. I love the doctors, and I appreciate the fact that they were booked out, but frankly I feel like they should've tried harder to resolve (or at least try to make up for) an issue that they freely admit is their own fault. Needless to say, I'll be registering a complaint with VSP, and we won't be coming back, and I'd recommend that others don't either.
All was good except they said I needed cataract surgery in both eyes. They charged me for prescription glasses knowing i wouldn't need them after the surgeries. Now i'm stuck with a $700 pair of glasses that i can't see out of. Other than that the assistants and doctor was very nice and thorough
I'm writing this review wearing my $800 glasses that I can't read with. I have had a lengthy and frustrating experience with Family EyecareAssociates in Sparks. The people are nice but that doesn't help me see! My new glasses arrived but the prescription was way off! I returned them to the store and was scheduled for another appointment with the doctor. She checked my eyes again and acknowledged the prescription written was wrong. Glasses were returned to the "glass makers" for adjustment . I finally received the adjusted glasses. Damnit! I can see but I can't read with them. That's the reason I got new glasses was to be able to read. I have to take them off when I am ready which is very difficult because I have bad eyes! Now I am stuck with a cute pair of glasses that I have to take on and off all day long. The experience with this place was so frustrating. And then when I received them, they were merely handed to me and I was sent on my way. Nobody checked to see if they were right. I think they wanted to just get rid of me because it has been so annoying. I am very very unhappy with this business. I will never refer them to my friends or family.
