This place is terrible on many counts. The first is with Dr. Richardson. He spent the entire time talking about his national guard experience. He forgot to even look at my eyes before I reminded him of it. Then he spent less than 10 seconds to look at both my eyes and said everything was fine. The unfriendly assistant did the entire rest of the exam. They still charged the full amount. Furthermore, they failed to bill my insurance and rather than correcting their issue, just tried to get me to pay the full amount. Additionally, on two separate occassions I stopped in to get my prescription so I could shop for glasses, and they refused to give it to me. They came up with many different excuses before I reminded them that it was a HIPAA violation and they were breaking the law by withholding medical records. Finally they gave in. I am attempting to switch to a different eye Dr, and now they are not sending my medical records to the new Dr. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Really nasty experience with a receptionist this morning when I was trying to to schedule an appointment for a follow up for an eye infection that has reduced my sight & I can barely open my eye & in pain., I was seen 2 days ago by another doctor besides my own, there was no change after treatment, so I wanted to follow up with my own Dr. The receptionist was short with me , cut me off when speaking, acted snooty, & tried to be clinical with me & told me what she thought I should do for treatment., Receptionists aren't clinical., & then said to come back 7 days from now!!, I said I need to be seen TODAY!!!, I then said should I call a manager? One I know of at the hospital location, & suddenly the receptionist changed her tune & all of a sudden can see me at 1pm , that's when my Dr leaves the office., I may have to follow up with a manager after all. I by the way am a new patient as well & this is how I'm treated after the 3rd visit??, appalling., my last Dr office I was with them for 15 years, no problems.
My fiance has concerning vision issues and she was calling in today about her appointment that was set for today and wanted to make sure information was right before arriving. The lady she talked to ((Alexis)) who answered the phone was very rude and even hung up on her when making sure they had my fiances right information, which they didn't. She definitely should not be answering any kind phones with her anger levels. I don't know if she knows what customer service is but maybe someone can train her correctly before having her answering calls for a company.
P.S - Her appointment is today so maybe Alexis can apologize and explain what that attitude was for this morning because my fiance is one of the nicest people and doesn't deserve that kind of treatment. I could care less what Alexis has going on in life but I know she has a job to do and she's clearly wasn't doing it.
I cannot begin to praise Concord Eye Center highly enough. Everyone, from the receptionists, to the techs, surgical schedulers and RNs, are attentive, kind, supportive and helpful. Dr. Fogle is a dream doctor/surgeon. She is compassionate and professional while also possessing specialized skills and an outlook on eye health unmatched by any doctor I have ever seen. She truly wants the best outcome for her patients and does everything she can to make that a reality.
My time was not respected as I waited an initial 10 minutes to get in the room, eyes were dilated, and then spent another half hour waiting. People work. If the office is running late, then text people that. I didn't need to show up on time at 10:30 to be seen at 11:45. If I were that late, you would charge me. I should ask for my copay back at this point. Do better.
Said I was 100% covered by my insurance and my bill from my insurance says I have $0 balance, yet they are trying to charge me $664.00. I showed them the bill from my insurance showing A $0 balance and they are still charging me. The Dr. I have been dealing with has been rude short, and extremely unfriendly
Horrible! Appts routinely run 30-60 mins behind yet they call and verify multiple times about appt time and missing appts and then they do this. Very poor interactions and no changes despite trying politely to address it.
The staff here is absolutely awful we have spent the last two days trying to book an appt and have been dismissed by the call center and the office as I walked right into the office with referral in hand and was told I couldn't book appt. And our doctors office has called them and still they have treated them the same way even though they are the referring physician and want urgent appointment. I just can't believe the treatment by this ophthalmologist office when an urgent appt is needed.
