I had a great experience at my eye appointment. It was a very busy day, but the staff handled multiple patients quickly and efficiently. They stayed friendly the whole time and were excellent at explaining my different eyeglass options without any pressure. Everything felt smooth and well-organized. Highly recommend!
The doctor, his assistant and the optician were very nice and helpful.
However, the receptionist with dark hair needs a refresher on customer service etiquette. She had an attitude whenever I asked a question. I didn't receive a notification saying my glasses were ready, so I went the next morning after I dropped them off to have the lens replaced. I asked her if she had my case and she told me I didn't give it to her, although I knew I did. She didn't attempt to stand up, look or help me.
I called a few hours later and spoke to another staff member and she immediately offered her assistance and found the case; it was still in the area where the lens are replaced.
I made a second trip during my workday to pick it up at the end of the day and again get attitude and she claimed she didn't know anything about it. She could benefit from more training in her role, customer service drives the business, and she is the face of the company.
I have been a patient here for years. I have never missed an appointment or had any problems with them until recently. I was on vacation and missed their email and text prompts to "confirm" my appointment, that I had just scheduled two weeks prior. I did not respond to the prompts because I was taking a break from my phone while on vacation. I returned home for my appointment only to find they had cancelled it on me for not responding to their confirmation prompts. I find this ridiculous because I have never missed an appointment and I was on vacation and did not receive their texts. I have since changed eye care providers and now they are giving me a run around to get my prescriptions transferred to my new provider. I am very disappointed in them.
What a difference a year makes. I went there last year to have an eye exam and get glasses to help me with a change in my work conditions that had me doing more computer work and suffering headaches and eye strain. The eye Dr was very professional and quickly figured out what I would need for a prescription to alleviate my eye strain and the technicians expertly assisted in chosing 2 sets of glasses and lenses. A short wait and I received a text informing me that my glasses were ready to be picked up.
Fast forward to this year, I went in for an annual eye exam which was again expertly done by the eye Dr. I brought my own frames that I had purchased online and the technician assisted in selecting the appropriate lenses. Since that visit, I have received three notifications informing me that my glasses were ready only to find out on all three occasions that they weren't ready. Even more frustrating was the fact that on the 3rd occasion (today) I called prior to heading over to pick up my glasses and verify that the notification was correct. I was told that the notification was correct and drove to the retail location in Dover only to be told "there must be a problem with the notification system because we still dont have your glasses back yet."
Im hopeful that I'll eventually get my new glasses but I will be going to a different provider next time as I'm not fond of wasting my valuable time due to a "glitch in our notification system"
My appointment felt very rush And the eye doctor was not friendly at all! They also did exams that wasn't discuss beforehand and added to my bill it felt like a scam!! I would not recommend this place at all!!
The assistant Rude.I forget her name She had a curly hair I ordered my Reading glasses she told me It takes Two weeks they never called Never heard from them, if ready. Is been Two months I never heard from them I had to call to check if ready yup is ready no one call me.
Not for kids! I have gone here for years and never had a problem. I brought my 6 year old daughter a couple years ago, and the doctor seemed to think she was "faking" her eye problems because she was excited to get glasses. He said come back in 6 months. Not only that, but he dismissed her so fully in front of her, she was really upset afterwards.
I took her elsewhere, and not only did they recognize that she did have issues with blurred vision, and wasn't "faking it", they found that she had several physical issues with her eyes. One eye would cross at close distances, like for reading, but snap to correct when she looked at a distance. It was actually really hard for me to catch in person, but the eye doctor recognized it immediately. Then they did several tests to assess it - basically advanced versions of those 3d magic puzzles. MyEyeDr did none of these basic tests (color blindness, magic eye, etc). We were referred to a specialist and there were around 5 diagnosis when all was said and done. It explained why she had trouble with tracking objects, stopped enjoying reading as she aged (text got smaller) and struggled to watch TV - even with a "low" prescription. I don't love leaving 1 star reviews, particularly when I have had fine care there as an adult, but I want to warn other parents!
Staff are professional and friendly. I received an inaccurate prescription and had to get a second eye exam for the correct prescription. Despite their mistake, I still had to pay 100% of the out of pocket cost of the second appointment.
Update: as of 8/11, no one has contacted me.
