No pain before, during, or after cataract surgery! They don't get any better... or nicer... than this ophthalmologist!

I had my first appointment regarding cataract surgery with Dr. Kalpakian. From the minute he walked in the door I had a good feeling. He greeted me with a big smile and took the time to listen. Actually listen. It is hard to find a doctor you feel comfortable with on a first visit but he did just that. He spent time going over everything so I completely understood the procedure. He is a compassionate person and I can tell he loves his work. Thank you!

I had a great experience with my cataract surgery. A few months later I developed double vision. Not sure what was causing it so I went to my primary caregiver. She did a few tests, thinking it might be caused by my thyroid. It did not. She then referred me to my regular optometrist who put a prism in my eyeglasses telling me it was a bandaid not a cure. She then referred me to a neurologist who thought it "might" be caused by a muscle in my eye. He also ordered 2 different MRI's. I decided to call Dr Kalpacian's office before undergoing the expensive MRI's. I got a complete run around by the receptionist who referred me back to DHMC - Hanover (neurology/optomoligist) . She said Dr Kalpacian only does surgery...he doesn't see regular patients. Very frustrating and I still have double vision.

Absolutely wonderful. I had an eye injury issue and he explained everything. Relaxed, caring and so smart!!
