This place is great! I highly recommend Dr. Dave Mackay to anyone who is in need of getting their eyes checked. They have the most gorgeous and latest designer glasses, the staff is friendly and so helpful! If you're in need of just some sporty sunglasses or any other eye care needs this is where you should be!

As a new patient I was very happy with my experience at this office. I saw Dr. Kondik who was very kind and patient during my appointment. I told him that I tend to find eye exams very stressful but he let me take my time and was friendly and personable. My experience with the opticians was also great when I ordered and picked up my glasses. I am glad to have found this place after other practices were not the right fit.

Dr. Kondik did a thorough exam. Was happy with his performance. However, the front desk was less than welcoming on check in and check out. Everyone at the front desk looks miserable. Head down in their computers, not acknowledging patients coming or leaving. Co-pays for retinal imaging should be disclosed before the service is provided. I'm also a healthcare provider and we disclose all prices before services are performed. The oddest part of the visit was going over glasses with Gwen. Two different times she said I was watching her lips and that may be related to me having hearing loss. Quite an odd turn for the conversation. Never mind the fact that you're not qualified to be having those clinical conversations. I also explained that I just had drops put in my eyes that were my making vision blurry. Then she makes snarky comments two different times about some cracking/damage in my current lens. Hence the reason I was there. She says " I have glasses twice as old in better shape". Oddly snarky and judgmental tone. Was great when it was DR. McKay, unfortunately has gone way down hill. I'll be going elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Michael Kondik. I have been wearing contacts for 30+ years, since I was very young, and have always gotten monthly lenses. Dr. Kondik belittled me, and put some seriously high pressure on me to move to daily lenses. I get that it's healthier, but I don't want the cost or the massive amounts of trash associated with the packaging. He was extremely condescending, cold, and rude -- and refused to accept my decision. When I said I respected his expertise, but I knew what I wanted because I'd been wearing them for 30 years, he heavily implied that my age was a factor in my decision and that if I were younger I would be an easier client. I was so upset I literally walked out of the appointment. The receptionist was very sympathetic, and rebooked me with Dr. Dave Mackay -- and within a week I had my monthly lenses. Dr. Mackay is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars, as he was infinitely more kind and understanding, and listened to my concerns.

I love Manchester Bedford Eye! I felt cared for by Dr. Meegan who took the time to get my prescription just right. Ally was very personable and patient when helping me pick the perfect glasses for me! I also appreciate how the front desk broke down my bill and ensured I understood exactly what I was paying for. Thank you to the entire team!

I had one of the worst interactions I've ever had with any healthcare provider here. I always feel safe with my doctors and was caught extremely off guard by the coldness and lack of empathy from Dr. Kondik. I was honest with him about my struggles with removing contact lenses and he shamed me for the issues I was going through. I was so upset that I started silently crying, and he said it was interfering with his work. He rushed me through an eye exam and didn't offer me tissues or try to deescalate the situation. I quietly pushed through the appointment and left - truly ruined my day and will not ever be returning. I hope Dr. Kondik is retrained on patient/customer interactions and can make the appointment feel like a safe space for all of his clients, no matter what they're going through.

Dr Michael A Kondik II has the worst bed side manner of any doctor I have seen. Brought my son in for an eye exam only to be treated horribly The dr was also very clear to mention on many occasions throughout the visit that he was indeed the dr. Wow, very condescending and rude. Answered my questions with a snappy, crass manner. Mind you I was just asking questions, must of been annoying to the dr? He missed an astigmatism in my son's eye. And refused him contacts as he is a sports athlete, and said his vision "was good enough" not only did we feel rushed but couldn't help feel as if we were a burden. We have been patients here for a decade and I am switching out of the practice. To be treated in such a way is unacceptable and this doctor is a real jerk who mocks his patients. Steer clear of this doctor especially if you are bringing children to him. He is a real disappointment as a doctor.

My first time at this office 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with glaucoma and according to their doctor I needed to get surgery at their recommended office immediately. I switched from my well established optometrist because of distance, but in all the years there I was never was diagnosed with glaucoma. After my glaucoma diagnosis 3 years ago with Manchester-Bedford eye care, I got a second opinion and was told I did not have Glaucoma. I went again to this office (really for new glasses from insurance) in 2025 and again was told I have Glaucoma and because of this my insurance would need to be billed medically. Again, I went for second and third opinions and again was told I do not have glaucoma by the other optometrists. Manchester Bedford eye care is now billing me for almost $100 for a condition I do not even have! Dont trust their doctors!!!!!
