Eye Logic LLC Dr. Derek W. Guarino

Dr Guarino is a great doctor, very calm and friendly. Sadly, after 20 years going to the practice, I've decided to leave. I tried to schedule an eye exam yesterday and the receptionist that answered was so rude it was...well, stunning. I've never experienced anything like it, to be honest. From the get go, it seemed like just asking for an eye exam was putting her out. Then she gave me all sorts of attitude about not getting an exam annually and ordering a bulk supply of contacts from 1800contacts. To paraphrase, she said: "I don't appreciate you not getting annual exams and flouting the rules by ordering a bulk supply of contacts." Really? I've done this since I was a kid, everyone I know does this. She then told me that going forward her office would not approve my orders from 1800contacts unless it was for 2 boxes of contacts or less. Dumbfounded, I proceeded to tell her the attitude was unnecessary and not appreciated, at which point she insisted I was free to find another eye doctor. So, I just hung up on her. This is easily some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I mean, I've been a patient there since 2000 or so, and this is the treatment I get? One by one, she is stripping Dr Guarino of his customers. I'd look elsewhere if I were you.

Doctor Guarino is awesome, he is very thorough, takes his time, and is very pleasant. Unfortunately I have to give his practice one star because of his front office staff. Jennifer who works in the front office is very difficult to communicate with and was quite disrespectful to me as a customer. During the pandemic I was unable to come in for my yearly appointment for contacts. I called and initially she was very pleasant, saying they could send me contacts to carry me through until the office was open. She ended up sending me the incorrect lenses (a prescription I had several years prior). Instead of just apologizing and correcting the error I spent days trying to get in contact with her and eventually received a rude response. Long story short, I dropped the contacts off to her at the office and never heard back. I sent emails regarding my refund. No response. Had to contact my credit card company and filed a dispute to get my money back. Ended up ordering contacts from 1800 contacts and found a new office for my yearly appointments.

Great doctor and office staff! Very friendly and the doctor is wonderful about explaining things. He answers questions openly and honestly. He also spotted my friend's psuedotumor after months of doctors not being able to identify her medical issue. We have been very happy with Dr. Guarino, his wife and staff.

I've been incredibly pleased with the quality of care and customer service here. Dr. Guarino and his staff are kind, conscientious, and very professional. The variety of frames is amazing...and if you don't get styled by Jennifer, you are missing out.

Called to get appointment . They answer very nice.. but I had an important situation that needed to cancel (had to take daughter to the clinic) . They don't tell you that you getting charged 25 dollars when cancel after making the appointment... Haven't been there..and I won't go there .. thank you guys . One costumer less.

Absolutely AWFUL! Older receptionist is incompetent and rude. Said we couldn't attend apt since authorization was already open. Turns out after waiting and calling insurance company, and sitting in her office, that it was HER that had the authorization open all along!

The doctor was knowledgeable and friendly. Staff were very helpful, too. I highly recommend him.

Been going here for years with the family. Doctor and staff are always very skilled, helpful, and nice!
