I went for my yearly exam which I was overdo for. I have a history of holes in my retna that were surgically closed and I'm a diabetic. I wear glasses for driving but at my last visit I was told had a stigmatism and should think about bifocals for reading. After my exam Dr Kavanagh walked in with her assistant. I had talked with her about my concerns and she was not interested. She did not address any of my questions. She informed me that the test I was just given was only for my nearsightedness, and she had forgot to finish the test on farsightedness. They also forgot to do the air puffer test. This could have been done even though my eyes were already dilated.Dr Kavanagh said I would have to come back and " pay for another visit or, find a Dr in my area and pay them" I just drove an hour and a half to this appointment because there wasn't a Dr in my area. This Dr showed no concern at all. No professionalism. There was joking and laughing between the Dr and the assistant that made me feel so uneasy. I was treated so disrespectfuly. She actually was acting like she was on a substance with her constant giggling and not paying attention that was making me feel like this wasn't a safe environment. With my history and health this Dr should have taken this more seriously and respectful. I later realized why she talked to me this way and it was because my insurance only allows one visit a year but, she'll get paid for an incomplete service and I'll go without an eye exam which she found very amusing apparently. I'm sure there are other competent Drs at this facility but, this one is incompetent and should be terminated.
