The Brick office picked up the phone right away and let me know they take my insurance. Got me in the same day with Pam (or Pat?) and Dr. Mahgerefteh who were very sweet and thorough in explaining the situation and steps they took. Dr. M found and resolved my issue immediately. This is the first pleasant experience I've had with a doctor in a very long time, I'm very grateful for the relief and they have pigeons on the lawn! (I love pigeons )

I had scheduled an appointment 4 days in advanced for contact fitting. The contacts have already been ordered and received but when I get there (after driving from North Jersey), I was told to take a seat and the optometrist will be right with me. As twenty minutes go by, I am called up and told that my contact trial were not at the Brick location and were at the Toms River location and I was rescheduled. No consideration for my travel expenses or time wasted. Just a "sorry about that", no inquiries on "how can we make this right?", no reimbursement of my time and money spent. They have a $35 fee if you don't show up for an appointment, they should have a reimbursement fee for wasting your time also. Otherwise friendly staff and great doctors.

I had my appointment with Dr Mahgerefteh yesterday November 11th 2024 and I have to say it was one of the greatest offices I have ever been in. From the greeting at the front desk to being with the Doctor was wonderful. Dr Mahgerefteh stayed in the exam room with me and explained every detail about my situation. I highly recommend them and there office.

Office is terrible. Had appointments for my son and I in mid September. After a dozen automated calls they called to cancel as the doctor would not be in that day. Rescheduled for today 10/13 and when I called to confirm the office I was told AGAIN the doctor was not going to be in and I'd have to reschedule to MID DECEMBER?!?!? I received no less than 15 automated calls which I did not answer every one....and apparently one was a real person telling me about the cancellation. Really? On the same day I received an automated CONFIRMATION?!? Never again...and the lady on the phone was totally rude after THEY cancelled twice. Total trash.

Today, at Ocean Eye Institute, Brick office, my disabled, non-verbal son was denied medical care and discriminated against because of his disability, My son is non-verbal and is diagnosed with Autism. He had a 9:30 AM appointment with Dr. Grossman because his is experiencing discomfort and we have waited since Friday for this appointment. He, as well as myself have been seen here before by other doctors and when making the appointment, I clearly explained/reminded that he is disabled. At arrival I was told that they were running behind and they did not know how long it would be, but I chose to wait. Within a few minutes my son noticed someone had left a full, very hot cup of coffee on the table in the waiting room which he wanted to grab and drink, since he does not have the cognitive level of understanding that to do so would be inappropriate. I intercepted and threw the hot coffee cup in the garbage but he persisted on trying to get it. He was not mad, he was not loud, he did not verbalize at all, he just wanted that cup of coffee and continued to try to reach for it, in the empty waiting room. A very kind lady who works in the optical department , unrelated to the doctors office, right across the room was nice enough to ask me if I wanted her to get rid of the garbage can and bring it in the back. I told her she didn't need to go thru any trouble, but she did and I appreciated that she did that for us. (Actually, she saw the whole event and knows we were not disruptive at all!) My son stood quietly next to me, holding my hand. Within just a few seconds I noticed that the receptionist had left the front desk and I saw Dr.Grossman approaching us. He came up to me and said" this is not going to work out, I am told your being very disruptive." I looked at the doctor, as my son stood absolutely quietly holding my hand, and said "this is disruptive?" And he said " yes". I said, " are you denying my disabled son medical care?" and he said I am not going to discuss this anymore and turned and walked away. My son was discriminated against based on his lack of understanding which is part of his disability. We were wrongly accused of "being disruptive "by Doctor Grossman, who made this determination based on what the receptionist told him, and he did not witness himself because He was never in the room to witness any disruption. There was not even another person in the waiting area that we could have possibly been disrupting. What a disgrace that my son was targeted and discriminated against because of his disability and his lack of understanding. No one was being disruptive he simply didn't understand that he could not have the cup of coffee; and I was simply trying to stop him for reaching around me for the cup of coffee in the garbage. When I arrived home I called Mary, the office manager and have come to learn that this Dr. Grossman is one of the Four owners. She proceeded to ask if we were wearing masks and stated they cannot see patients without masks, I told her, "don't even make it about the mask", my son is disabled, and does not have to wear a mask due to his disability , we are also fully vaccinated with proof and have all had covid already- Don't side step the issue! I would not recommend this practice, there is no compassion, no understanding of disability and there was no reason to boot us out of the office for being disruptive. The last thing I told Dr. Grossman was to look for my Google reviews. Discrimination against a disabled person is never OK; my son was denied medical treatment for a behavior resulting from his disability, and I was targeted for trying to be a good advocate for my son. It is very disturbing that this office clearly discriminates against the disabled population, and my son never received medical treatment today because of this. I would never recommend this office. They lack compassion and understanding of disability and have no patience or tolerance of people with special needs. SHAME ON YOU DR. GROSSMAN. (you judged us based on hearsay!) You know this is not ok!

First I met with Dr. Grossman, had eye exam, went well. Then I met with Dr. Lautenberg Who did minor surgery on my eyes. Also went well. Doctors and entire staff, all very knowledgeable with perfection. I would recommend them to everyone.

Was very satisfied with Dr Mady's services. Lenses in both eyes Sept and Oct 2019.

I needed eye surgury. Dr Lautenberg & his staff are wonderful
