Dr. Joseph P. Calderone Jr, MD

I knew Dr Calderone back in 1990 and his dad , I had a great experience with them , as a young black nurse back in the 1990, the doctor called the nursing home regarding one of his patients, took his time to explain to me about the eye drops and the eye care for the patient, so I told him I have a patient for him he told me who , I replied my father. Dr Calderone ( father) told me to call the office tomorrow and he will see my father, my father went to him , years later he did my dad cataracts surgery/my mom/ my sister. I like his competence , emergency can happen where if a doctor is not the office , there might be a delay in time ; that can happen at any doctor office. I am grateful we still have doctors like him not AI.

My family and I have seen Dr. Calderone for 30+ years now. Take it from me you could put your full confidence in him and his staff. He is very thorough and takes the time to explain to his patients and answer all questions. Alongside this his bedside manner is impeccably good; serving his patients with compassion, wit and good humor. Thank you Dr. Calderone and staff for many years of taking good care of us.

I saw some people complained. I have had nothing but excellent experiences in a five-year period. The longest I ever waited was 15 minutes. Additionally, the staff is always super friendly. Dr. Calderon is kind considerate and concerned with giving the proper care. He may not be out to entertain, but he does his job and does it right. I recommend him.

Dr. Calderone is a wonderful doctor. When I injured an area of my face near my eye, Dr. Calderone was thoughtful and caring. He took the time to examine the injury, give me thorough information about his findings, and answer all of my questions. There was a bit of a wait in the office but it's worth it because Dr. Calderone takes his time with his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Calderone.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I used to take my entire family there years ago, but literally EVERY appointment was at LEAST 30 Minute wait beyond the appointment time. So, I stopped going. Today, as a referral by my GP, I reluctantly went back. The staff was very nice, and I got right into a room for the standard questioning by the assistant. Then, she says.. "ok, go back to the waiting room, it will be 45 minutes to an HOUR to see the doctor. There were 3 PEOPLE IN THE WAITING ROOM. Since he is not a world renowned heart surgeon and I wasn't in immediate need of a transplant, and I am not in Canada, I left. Here is my guess. 1)They have ZERO respect for other peoples time. 2) They Have NO idea how to run a medical practice from a scheduling perspective, or 3) for some reason think they are SO rare of a talented doctor people will put up with such a blatant disrespect for their time. The answer is, it is a bit of all 3. So, I will go to one of the other many eye doctors in the area. Dr. Calderone, here is a simple fix... WHEN PEOPLE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, LET THEM KNOW THEY WILL NOT BE SEEN FOR UP TO 1 HOUR PAST THE APPOINTMENT TIME.. Then, if they choose to come, they are informed... and get new magazines!! I have been coming to this office for a few years now for my annual eye exams. Dr Calderone and his whole staff are very professional and kind. I appreciate that this practice always runs on time and their staff is always so pleasant. I would highly recommend coming here!

Dr. Calderone commitment to your eyes is second to none . His eye examination is through and his explanation is easy to comprehend. He has great rapport with his patients. His office staff is very friendly.

Just like most others, I had to wait over an hour to be seen. When I was seen, It was not by Dr Calderone. My entire exam was done by an assistant, who kept going out to confer with Dr. Calderone. When I did get to meet the great and powerful Oz, 2 hours after my appointment was supposed to start, I was less than impressed.
