John Hilke, OD

Dr. Hilke is amazing but his front desk is rude and despite requesting the front desk to fax my medical records to my PCP she still hasn't done it. I've requested several times for her to send my records. Dr. Hilke needs to find better front desk staff because this is ridiculous.

The office staff and the doctors are extremely kind and helpful! I have never been to the eye doctor before, but Dr. Hike was amazing and took the time to answer all of my questions! I was able to pick out a very cute pair of glasses and all of my questions about insurance were explained and answered! I would recommend Dr. Hilke to anyone struggling to find a caring and kind eye doctor!

Dr. Hilke is very, very good. He always explains in details all the issues without rushing us. In our last appt few months ago, he didn't have the frame my husband wanted it. Dr. Hilke advised us to go to Lens Crafters and get it done there, as big stores have more selection. He wanted us to be happy with the glasses. So, we got the frame in Lens Crafters with our insurance and Dr. Hilke office did the lenses for my husband eye glasses. Of course, I wanted to give the business to the doctor even though it's best to do the frame and the lenses in the same place per warranty purposes.

I'm writing this review for the optometrist (whose name I do not know but I do know she was Russian) I saw, not for Dr. Zheng. I originally saw Dr. Zheng one year, and she did a great job, but when I followed up the next year, I saw this other doctor. I don't know why I was assigned this doctor, because I wanted to see Dr. Zheng. This new doctor actually misdiagnosed me. (I found this out because I went to a different eye doctor this year, who actually understood my needs) and charged me over $200 for eyeglasses that gave me headaches and looked like I was looking through a fishbowl. When I called to tell the doctor about this, she said that it was "probably just my eyes" and that "I should just wait it out". Instead of listening to my concerns, she ignored my issues, both in my initial exam, and for the follow-up exam. During my initial exam, she also was very dismissive to my questions. When I came back for the follow-up, I heard her on the verge of an argument with another not-so-happy customer. That's when I found out this year from a different, knowledgeable doctor that I had astigmatism. Over $200 down the drain...

Dr. Hilke is fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and patient. I would recommend him highly for your regular eye care.

The staff are kind and courteous, the office has a friendly feel and the doctors are great with kids. I've brought my daughter here for three years and every visit is a fun adventure.

Great experience coming here. I felt the staff was very helpful. Dr. Hilke was very thorough and caring. Always answers all my questions without feeling rushed.

One of the staff is very rude and not friendly. She seems a little racism towards me and my family. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
