Before having surgery ask what % of Dr Desai's retina surgeries fail? She is horrific surgeon with Horrific bedside manor This women's self centered personality rushed my operation. She didnt listen to my questions and her sloppy work caused me to lose my vision DISASTER. - stay away She did a hatchet job on my retina and it had to be repaired, not once, but twice, but the damage was done. The leading NY ophthalmologist chair who fixed my retina said, and I quote. "your first surgeon did a lot of damage". Frankly the entire NJ Retina organization is a Private Equity owned hatchet shop. They are all about profit. Find a real organization with a leading physician.

Dr. Lekha Desai has been treating my wife for several months now. She is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with. We are sorry to hear that she is leaving the Elizabeth facility. We want to thank Dr. Desai for the treatments and wish her the best in the state she is moving to.

Dr. Desai and her staff are wonderful. I've taken my 89 year old mother for treatments the last 4 months and we're very happy with the doctor, staff, and facility. Dr. Desai and her staff take their time with my mother, explain everything clearly, and don't push unnecessary treatments. It seems to be a busy office so sometimes there's a little bit of a time spent in the waiting area but because they treat her so well, we don't mind that much.

I was nervous at first, but once I talked to everyone I was fine. Dr. Desai was wonderful and very caring. I was there with my sister Mona. She was more nervous than I was. She had to have needles in her eyes, but the doctor calmed her down and it went fine. I didn't have to have any at the time. But I go back to her in September to check and see, if my diabetes is messing with my eyes. She explained everything so clearly and told us we're doing very well, considering our eye problems. Thank you all for the love and support and care you gave us both. Trust me we'll be back.

This was my first visit with this practice. Staff was nice, pleasant & professional. I was called in the examining room very close to my appt time which is a big plus! Office and examining rooms were nice and clean with modern technology. Met the doctor which was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable, she took her time and explained the outcome of my exam. The only thing bad I can say is that the elevator was not working and it was difficult for some handicapped and elderly patients that I met that day to climb the stairs. From my understanding the elevator had been out of order for awhile now.

They are very efficient and on time, that is a plus. The staff is pleasant, different techs take you through the preparatory steps. Dr. Desai is pleasant, responded nicely to my questions and asked if I had any more. The overall experience is organized, efficient, pleasant and the doctor was relaxed and engaged. I have been going there for about two years and have not had a bad experience.

Visiting the office is a joy because the staff is very proficient with scheduling and maneuvering us into each step of of our visit. Dr. Desai explains every detail throughout and after my exam. She has my total trust and confidence as she answers sll my questions and concerns.
