Dr. Evan Joo (Envision Eyecare)

I highly recommend Dr. Joo. She demonstrates such dedication to a good contact lens fit and also is mindful of economic concerns. Although I ended up switching to a more expensive contact lens because of the improved fit, Dr. Joo offset the cost by telling me about a promotion that gave me back hundreds of dollars. She is generous with her expertise, time and samples. She and her staff are very calm and nice.

Amazing staff with service and professionalism. Doctor is very knowledgeable and kind. Staffs are friendly and helpful. My son and both had eye exams and glasses. We are absolutely happy with services.

Great care! Explains thoroughly, takes her time. I work nearby and started coming here, and I think I would drive further for ongoing care here if I ever moved.

I was having problems with my eyes and saw several different optometrists. Dr. Joo was recommended to me by a friend. This is my 2nd year with Dr. Joo. She is very meticulous during her exam. Since I have issues with dry eyes which affects my vision, she spend a lot of time making sure my prescription was correct. My husband is now her patient as well. It is worth the 1 hour drive for us. The front staff is also very kind. I would highly recommend.

I was a long time customer of this place for years. I recently bought an expensive pair of glasses with defects (part of the frame is ripped open). They initially agreed to exchange them (as they saw the same defects), but later said I have to keep them because the manufacturer cannot apply warranty. A part time guy called me and said there is nothing they could do. Nobody aoplogized and I'm left with the glasses with defects. They just want to make money and don't care about their customers. What a horrible customer service. I'm done with this place!

I have been seeing Dr Joo for over a decade and continued to see her even after I moved to a different state. I couldnt find a eye Dr like Dr Joo yet. Dr Joo is well knowledged and the most trustful Dr for my eye health. In the beginning, I was very impressed about her medical knowledges when I talk to her about my medical diagnosis/ medications I am taking.l (Generally other Dentist and Optometrist are not familiar with medications other than their practice related meds). When I am in the exam room, she explains every step to me what she is examining for. Also, I like the fact that they carry asian fit eyeglasses I get my new eyeglasses every year as I have good coverage for eyes. I would recommend Dr Joo to all who live nearby in bergen county, NJ. I come here once a year for eye check up from different state. I am very satisfied with this office.

If I can give 0 stars I would. This review is for the front office staff - not for the doctor. Unfortunately, I had to deal with the optical shop. My son purchased a pair of sunglasses and then received a call from them asking us to return and get an exchange... so we assumed there's something wrong. Then they call back and it's ok no need to return but then they have a new pair for him. Traveled 2 hrs to get there and it is like I don't need to return and then they provide a new pair and want to charge me for a new pair of glasses etc. Then, they offered $20 money which doesn't even cover for my gas or time. It was a very weird and confusing experience. Front desk staff seemed incompetent.

I have been going to Dr. Joo since I was a teenager. I have always been more than pleased with her thorough, caring explanations during every step of the examination process. I always recommend family and friends to her and now have the pleasure of bringing my husband and daughters to her for examinations. She is a wonderful doctor and she, along with her staff, are always pleasant and helpful. Very highly recommended!!
