Paul Shahinian, OD

Dr. Shahinian was able to see me same-day to an issue on my eye. The appointment was quick, but thorough. Dr. Shahinian was kind, compassionate, meticulous and extremely helpful. I felt seen and heard and am so grateful to have come across his practice. Highly recommend.

Been going to Dr Paul for years. Great physician and very attentive to details. Checking vision is an art that Dr Shahinian performs very well. His facilities are state of the art. I get an annual reminder and his staff is respectful and experienced. Selections of frames and lenses is diverse I trust Dr Paul and know he does a great job or else I probably couldn't read what I just typed. Don't hesitate on going to see him.

Linwood Optical is the best optical practice in NJ hands down. Dr. Shahinian is very professional and kind. His staff is very competent and overall I had a great experience. If you need an eye exam/glasses, definitely go pay them a visit!!

I have been going to Dr. Shahinian and Linwood Optical since he opened his doors many years ago. I think he is the most thorough, caring and educated eye doctor I have ever been to. He has cared for me not only for eye exams, but emergency visits as well. He and his staff are all knowledgeable and patient, in every aspect of their services, from eye exams, to choosing frames, and most importantly, making sure that I'm happy. Dr Shahinian is incredibly professional and thorough and generous with his time. He spends ample time with his examination connecting to his patients and has an inventory of thousands of beautiful frames for us to choose from. He took care of my father for more than 20 years and myself for at least 10 years. This is not a one time review, this is a review for how well he has cared for my family for at least 30 years in total and demonstrated that same level of care and competence with each and every encounter.

Dr. Shahinian and his entire staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. Dr. Shahinian gave me a thorough exam and made sure I was fitted properly for new reading glasses. His staff throughly checked my insurance and carefully took me through the process. A breeze really. I am grateful for the time he takes with me as his patient. I would absolutely recommend Linwood Optical/Dr Shahinian to anyone looking for outstanding care and service.

Just had my eyes examined by Doctor Paul this past Saturday - right before he was set to close up shop. He stayed open to accommodate me and gave me a thorough exam as I have been having some issues. One time he opened up his Westwood store on a Sunday because my elderly mother was having troubles with her vision. Can't say enough about how knowledgeable and professional he is. His experience, confidence and compassionate demeanor are an enormous plus. Highly recommend.

Arrogant and misleading is his style. Called and told the young man the name of my insurance company. He put me on hold and came back after a few minutes and said yes they will accept this company. I drove there the next day and the owner refused to accept my insurance plan. I asked him why was I told to come? His weak reply was, "I apologize". I was furious because I'm 85 years old and was led on a wild goose chase. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I would have given this place zero stars but you must give at least one star to get posted.
