America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I had such a pleasant experience at America's Best (Garfield location) yesterday! (1/23/2026) Jennifer the technician was thorough, kind, considerate, efficient and patient. She didn't make me feel bad when I did something wrong--she gently corrected me. Dr. Kim's bedside manner is outstanding! He took his time to thoroughly examine my eyes, educate me regarding vision changes that tend to happen in this age bracket, and gave me the information in a way that was easy to understand. You can tell by his kindness and thoroughness that he enjoys what he does and he knows a ton about it. I felt I was in good hands. Stephanie was so helpful with helping me with the frames--she heard me and understood what I was looking for and pulled pair after pair until I found the right ones. The receptionists Jacqueline and Christi also left very kind and courteous reminders so that I would not forget my appointment, which I appreciated. In this toxic go-go-go culture we live in the US, it is becoming a rarity to meet professionals who are present, kind, and make you feel seen and heard. I wish I had more experiences like this one. Very grateful.

Popped in to the location in Garfield to have glasses adjusted I purchased from them back in April and the technician was super friendly and helpful. While I was there, I inquired about whether or not my insurance would cover me for another examination because my career changed and my vision objective has changed (computer vs distance), so I wanted to get readers for when I needed them. Anyway, they were booked solid with only 3 patients left for the evening. I explained my situation to the girl at the desk (was losing my medical insurance that day) and she fit me in! Everyone, including the Doctor, was super sweet and helpful! Love America's Best...in Garfield!

Excellent experience. Everyone who works there is very helpful and friendly. They patiently try to understand you. Especially Mr. Akram -- he helped me a lot in finding the best lenses for me. Thank you again for everything. I really appreciate your help.

Staff is always polite. Cannot say the same for another location in the area. Have been here maybe 2 or 3 times over the years for my sons glasses. Today the screws broke off during sports practice and I walked in before they closed hoping they can fix it. The gentleman was so quick and willing to do it. Didnt even charge me. I truly appreciate it. The ladies there were welcoming as well. Thank you. Customer service goes a long way.

Truly wonderful people, helpful, patient, and willing to explore your options with the order screen facing both of you. They stand behind their warranty and make repairs no questions asked. Very happy with my second purchase, same barrelhouse Oakley's but we added the extra active transition. Relensed my driving sunglasses because frames are still solid. If you need quality at a fair price, look no further.

I ordered a safety glasses on 8/11 with an estimated arrival date by 8/22. I went to the store on 8/27 and they were not ready. They told me that they finished them on 8 /26 and it going to take at least to more days to be shipped to the store. I asked if one week is an estimated time. Politely I asked for the refund. And left. It is irresponsable in they way that they play with the time of the customers. That will be my last visit and I will not recommend the place, specially when the woman there told me: "a week is an estimated day"

I had a wonderful experience at this America's Best. The girl at the front desk, Kristy, treated me amazingly well from the day of my appointment until the day I picked up my glasses. The doctors were also very friendly. They initially estimated that my glasses would be ready in fifteen days, but they actually delivered them just in 5 days

This place was great! First time at the eye doctor since I was a teenager and everyone was super patient and answered all my questions. The lady who did the test was super nice and explained the entire process. The doctor himself was also very nice and took the time to answer all of my questions; I didn't feel rushed at all. Stephanie, who helped me pick out my glasses had the hardest job of all-- getting an indecisive person to pick something that I will have to use EVERYDAY. She was fantastic! Helped pull glasses that she thought I would like and that fit my face. She even let me go rogue, and just try on all the crazy frames. She waited while I texted pics to my friends to get everyone's opinion, since again, I am extremely indecisive. She didn't rush me and gave her honest opinion in a gentle way when I asked her how some of the most ridiculous frames looked on my very fair skin with very dark contrasting features, helping me to choose the best glasses for me.
