I went in for an annual checkup under my VSP plan. The visit should have been covered 100% and I gave the office my VSP information.
Several weeks later I got a co pay bill from BC/BS for a "Dry eye" condition and was extremely surprised as I was unaware of the diagnosis during my visit nor did I complain of any "dry eye" going in - I simply was going in for a free annual..
In the weeks to come I tried to sort this out with BC/BS and VSP whom both directed me back to the Optometrist. I delt with several people there and got zero satisfaction - was basically told that's how its coded, it cant be changed and have a nice a day.
In my opinion this is just a game for them to bill more money as a "Medial Condition" and they lost my AND my business.
