I've been denying it for months, but I genuinely think one of the ladies that works at this place purposefully broke my glasses. After re-taping the temples every now and then, I finally took a good look at the damage and really analyzed it. Let's start from the beginning: I went in one day to get my glasses tightened, the screws and all. The woman takes my glasses and then comes back out with my glasses completely broken. She said that "the machine had screwed it up." I told her it was okay and that mistakes happen, She told me "thank you for understanding, people usually think we do it on purpose." Hearing her say that never sat well with me. Why are peoples glasses being broken so often to the point that they have to complain...? after tonight I finally gave in to the truth. !!The way the temples (the long parts that fold) are damaged, looks like they were snapped off/bent in the opposite direction.!!Not sure how the machine could do that? I haven't even worn the new replacement glasses which they made me pay for because the prescription was wrong. I tried wearing them for 2 weeks thinking my eyes just had to adjust. But no. I didn't even like the way they looked. this place has no options unless you wanna pay a fortune for some good frames. They have a corner with "insurance covered glasses" and obviously the better looking ones are more expensive. If anything, they broke MY glasses, they should be the ones to replace it. I paid $80 for the insurance covered glasses. I really really REALLY loved the glasses she broke, and I'm so sad that I'm even pointing fingers. I still wear them taped up and broken, But it's obvious that she snapped them. Not to mention, they kept having me come in because my eye pressure was high. Every visit afterwards, the doctor would tell me the same thing. "The pressure hasn't changed, but come back in a few weeks so we can track it." Maybe this is their way of getting us to come back even when there's nothing wrong physically. I've seen other reviews similar to mine, but I didn't want to believe it was true. Shame on me for giving this place a chance, and shame on them for doing a horrible job.
The staff was nice. The doctor was very concerning. What I would like to do for my next glasses is get a script and take to elegant eyes. Im use to them helping me pick out my glasses.. overall it was a good visit..
I appreciate Dr. Kimberly Brown taking time to speak to each patient. She doesn't rush from one to the other. The staff members are professional and friendly. The office is kept clean and orderly.
Absolutely love Parkway Eye Care at their Orange, NJ location! From the moment I called to make my appointment, the staff was warm, professional, and quick to accommodate my schedule. When I arrived, I was immediately impressed--once inside, I thought I was in Short Hills! The office has a sleek, upscale feel with elegant finishes, a beautifully organized frame display, and a calm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel valued from the start.
The team was incredibly welcoming--friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout my entire visit. Dr. Brown was exceptional: thorough, patient, and deeply knowledgeable. She took the time to truly listen, explained everything in a way that made sense, and provided personalized care that put me completely at ease.
And the frame selection? Absolutely outstanding! There's a huge variety of stylish, on-trend options from top brands. I was thrilled to find that even the frames covered by my insurance were fashionable and well-made--choosing my new glasses was actually fun!

For a first visit to an eye doctor it went surprisingly well. The wait wasn't long and everyone was friendly and polite. I'm looking forward to my next visit
I'm very proud to say that the Parkway Eye Care Center located at 50 Union Avenue in Irvington, NJ has been providing excellent services for my vision and I'll continue to be with them throughout and recommend the Facility to anyone with vision problems. The staff is exceptional and knowledgeable with the services provided.
Parkway eye center is good place to be. The ophthalmologist, Dr Kimberly is so friendly with kids. She was patient, Calm and friendly with my Son. First visit experience was good.
I've been going here well over 10 years now & it still remains the same. Customer service & friendly experience is very good however they still double book where you're waiting at least 20 minutes after your appt time before entering, after that more waiting before you're seen. Other than that service is excellent so it makes it worth the wait.
