Parents, if you are reffered to this practice for your child to further investigate if he/she has Dyslexia - RUN. Our 7 year old who was recently diagnosed with Dyslexia was reffered to this practice for further information. After 1.5 hours of testing we were told (and have in writing) that our 7 year old was basically making it all up because "he wanted glasses." When he asked our son to read aloud simple site words, and my son said I don't know what those words are, the Dr. looked over at me and actually rolled his eyes, signaling that my child was lying. Truth be told, no he can't read simple site words... Maybe you should reeducate yourself on Dyslexia and children. Or get a more compassionate bedside manner. Can you imagine as a parent with a child who is suffering being told, yeah he's making it all up. Wowww guess my kid is an actual genius that he has the entire CST, teachers, tutors and pediatrician all fooled thinkng he is dsylexic but really just wants glasses! You are a true disgrace... And if you would like to see the findings on our son's medical diagonisis, I will gladly share in hopes next time you use more grace and education before telling parents that their kid is manipulating the system to get glasses. I should have read your reviews before exposing my son to your carelessness.

I just moved to NJ from out of state, and I was very concerned about finding the right optometrist to take care of me. I broke by glasses and could not find a local optometrist who was able to fix them because I have issues with my vision that are unusual and difficult to treat. My former optometrist recommended Dr. Richman, and I could not be more pleased. He understood the urgency of my situation and adjusted his schedule to fit me in. When I came in, he had an immediate understanding of my issues, gave me thorough exam, gave me a new script, and got my glasses fixed. As a bonus, he was friendly and compassionate. I am very fortunate to have found him. He is worth the drive and truly deserves the many awards hanging in the wall.

Dr. Richman has been excellent treating my son, who is autistic, developmentally delayed and non-verbal. He has always been very patient and understanding with him. Whenever I have had an issue he is always willing to see my son immediately. I would highly recommend him.

I was a patient there years ago and had a bad experience with dr. richman. He was extremely rude to me on the telephone while I tried to reschedule an appointment. I have just learned that his arrogance is still in tact! My sister had an eye emergency and called the office. (I did not refer her to him) He answered and was condescending to her. She was in extreme pain and had visited the office earlier that day. Her vision was getting worse and she was very scared. His disregard of her feelings was unacceptable. I would NEVER refer him to anyone.

An eye doctor has no business making diagnoses of neurologic conditions. He caused a lot of unnecessary consternation in our household. Fortunately, a real neurological expert disavowed Dr Richman's "diagnosis". The establishment that referred us to Dr. Richman apparently has received similar complaints to mine, and no longer refers to him. I have other issues with my experience at this practice, but frankly this is probably enough.

Was referred here because my son is autistic to only find out this doctor has no compassion whatsoever for the autistic community. We are appalled by Dr. Richman and his discriminatory behavior. Special Needs Parents steer clear of this office.if I could give ZERO stars I would.

Our family has been using Shore Family Eyecare for years. The staff has always been very courteous and accommodating. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone needing quality eye care!

Dr Richman was very patient with all three of my children. The doctor and staff are always friendly and accommodating.
