This office has gone completely downhill since the change in ownership. It's an absolute trainwreck. They never answer the phone I've had to call five or more times just to get someone to pick up, and half the time they still don't. The front desk is totally incompetent, unhelpful, and clearly not trained properly. It's chaotic, disorganized, and frustrating to deal with every single time. I have NEVER experienced a doctors office run like this in my life. Avoid this place unless you enjoy wasting your time and getting nowhere.

Within two days of visiting this practice for an eye exam I came down with a severe case of Conjunctivitis in both eyes. This is highly contagious yet I knew absolutely no one that had it, and I had not had in more than 50 years, since childhood. It occurred to me that I had never seen in all of my times there anyone sterilizing any of the equipment they use for eye exams. Two months later I accidentally used eye drops.I had gotten from them at the time and wound up with it again. When I called to renew the prescription they refused to do it without a visit but they had no visits that worked for me. It was a thursday and they were were fine letting me suffer for the four days ahead rather than giving me the renewal of an eye drop prescription over the phone to the pharmacy that I'd already used before. So I had to go to urgent care.

Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons of NJ bought out my favorite optometrist during Covid, allowing him to retire when he needed. I don't automatically keep my business in situations like this. They do a great job. They also kept on the original employees which mattered to me.
Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons of NJ has an incredible optician named Joe. It's one thing to get the right prescription, it's another thing to get the right glasses. Joe helps you understand what you need and your options. He's a real asset. I love my reading/computer glasses that he helped me design. Those glasses reduced my migraines drastically, improving the quality of my daily life. It's amazing that the right pair of glasses can do so much.

Laurie was a great help in getting the right glasses and more importantly, getting them done right. No it's not the way Dr Mancuso did things but, I'm quite happy with the finished product!

Her personal and professional demeanor is exceptional....as a Vintage Woman I have experienced surgeries, et al and therefore, I have a means of comparison!
Cataract Surgery is very common which can be interpreted as routine, easy, and not a big deal! Common does not equate with any of these....our vision is a super power! The Surgeon you entrust with your vision is the key to successful surgery....

To anyone seeking a practice in which to have your eyecare needs met, I highly recommend that you choose this practice. It's always a pleasant experience for me. The office staff members are always professional and courteous as is my doctor, Dr Kushner. She is very thorough and explains everything very clearly and answers all questions thoroughly during the exam. This practice has a very nice line of eyewear frames to choose from.
