For the second year in a row I have had poor experiences with this office. I made my appointment for my annual eye exam on line and received the typical email and text confirmation doctors offices send out. For an entire week prior to the appointment I received daily texts reminding me of my appointment and to fill out paperwork on line. I filled out the paperwork on line, confirming what was already there yet continued to get daily texts. Upon arrival at the office, 15 minutes before my appointment, I was surprised to see the waiting room full with at least 20 patients waiting. 45 minutes later I asked the receptionist how much longer until I would be seen. She said one more patient ahead of me for my doctor. I told her I was scheduled over half an hour ago and asked how long I would have to wait. She said she didn't know, they only had 3 doctors on duty for the day. I told her that I would not be able to wait and that I would reschedule. That won't happen. I don't care how many doctors are on duty. My appointment was for a certain doctor at a certain time and should not be affected by how many doctors are on duty. They are more concerned that you show up for the appointment than they are for the service they offer. Walmart offers better service!

I had an eye injury at work and almost lost my eye. Dr. Trottini was the one called into the ER to help my eye and I generally believe he helped keep my eye as best as anyone could. He is very quick and very informative. He listens too and answers any concerns I have with respect. The only thing about this office is that the economy right now is in a state where you need to go through people to make a profit. They are busy all day long going through a lot of people but not once did they make me feel rushed or unimportant. All the staff was very nice.

I had an appointment scheduled for 8:15 AM with Dr. Saipe and showed up early so I could complete any additional paperwork that may have been needed. After sitting there with no updates, I overheard staff saying the doctor "wasn't there yet" and referring to him as a "princess". Twenty minutes past my appointment time, I went to the desk and was told he hadn't even arrived yet. I made this early appointment for a reason-- I work and this was the only time that fit my schedule. On top of wasting my morning, I also lost an entire hour in travel (30 minutes each way) for absolutely nothing. The staff didn't even seem to care at all. This is beyond unprofessional and completely disrespectful of patients' time. If a doctor can't bother to show up on time, and the staff can communicate honestly, there is no reason for anyone to trust this office with their care. I canceled on the spot and will never return.

I left work early put in time off and had my father pick up my kids from school to be here for a 215 appointment when I arrived. They told me my appointment was canceled and that someone had called and left a message on Friday. I made this appointment during the summer With Dr. Coleman and was never told that she doesn't do contact lenses when I made the initial appointment disappointing as a first time patient that the office staff would make such mistakes and was such inconvenience to a working mother of two.

Dr Coleman and her staff are wonderful. They helped correct my Granny vison problem. Also, Dr Coleman was very quick to response to my messages to fix a RX issue. Thank you!

They don't value patient's time, call you the day of your appointment to tell you they don't see new patients after a certain hour and ask you to come in earlier or reschedule when you've made the appointment weeks prior. Very unprofessional!!!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Monroe Outlook Eye Care. They claimed to have performed a refractive state test on my eyes, which was never done. When I questioned the charge, they told me that because I signed off on the test, it was essentially my word against theirs. This is unacceptable and likely explains why their ratings are so low. It's clear to me that they prioritize billing over patient care. This isn't my first negative experience with them. During my first visit two years ago, Dr. Michael Trottini tried to convince me that I needed laser surgery, which was not necessary. He also insisted I had glaucoma, despite my explaining that my elevated eye pressure is due to a lazy eye--a condition previously diagnosed by a qualified doctor who took the time to explain that the shape of my eye is the main cause of the pressure. I had already been treated with glaucoma medication for over five years, which only worsened my vision. The drops were unnecessary and ineffective. I feel misled and taken advantage of. This doctor slacked off by giving me the same scripts that were given to me 2 years prior with no further testing or analysis. Patients deserve honesty, transparency, and care--not pressure tactics and questionable billing practices.

This place is terrible. My wife called asked for her PD number which was she found out was purposely left of her prescription and told they only give it to you if you buy glasses from them. In the same week, I have an 8:45am appointment so I work from home to make it. I get to the office 8:30am and am told, sorry Dr. Trottini doesn't actually get in until 9am! After two weeks of incessant text messages reminding me of the appointment, I show up early and am told this! Poorly run operation where it's clear it's all about getting your money! Done with this place.
