I had an excellent experience at Ferry Street Opticals in the Ironbound. They were able to fit me in the same day, which I really appreciated. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Pricing was reasonable and transparent, and the overall experience felt efficient without being rushed. Dr. Mark Polleck was amazing, truly the highlight. He was very informative and patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, showed me images of my eyes, and clearly explained what everything meant so I fully understood my eye health. I never felt dismissed or hurried. If you're looking for an experienced, knowledgeable team, good pricing, and a convenient location with great availability, I would absolutely recommend Ferry Street Opticals. I'll definitely be coming back.

Great experience at Eye Contact Vision Center. Christina was very professional, listened to my concerns, and made sure everything was handled smoothly. They re-did my eye exam, updated my prescription, and even prepared my new glasses the same day when I mentioned I was traveling. Very appreciative of the care and service--highly recommend.

Told me they accepted tricare (my insurance) but refused to let me make an appointment unless I had a "voucher." I personally called my insurance and they informed me I did not need one and I even explained this to the receptionist, but they still would not see me. I even told them to call my insurance so they could talk to them directly. The receptionist told me she'd figure this out with the manager and call me back the next day and never did. We're a military family that just moved here and we're just trying to receive care and they have made it beyond difficult. I was able to easily make an appointment with America's Best and they did not give me the problems this place has.

She took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me find the perfect pair of glasses that suited my style and needs. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail made the whole visit easy and enjoyable. The service was great and everyone was professional but the pricing was a little obscure. I paid nearly $300 for a lens replacement for glasses I already owned. I could get two new pairs for that price at an online service. I also just prefer online shopping because I can get the entire itemized price breakdown for each feature of the lens (eg thickness, tint, glare proofing, etc) before committing which is hard to review in-store. But if you have the funds, and you want to support a local business, this would be a good choice

They always come through when I need glasses. Same day service. Everyone here is so amazing and I'm so grateful to have such an amazing place to service me with my eye wear needs.
