We're a family of 4 and have been coming to Family Eye Care at Lens Crafters for about 15 years. Dr Meade is very thorough during the exam and takes his time to explain everything in details. The staff are always pleasant and knowledgeable as well. Highly recommend.

Not returning..... I had an appointment scheduled for 6:00pm. There was an accident on 80 so it made me run behind. I called to let them know. The guy says we give a 15 minute grace period. Great! After the traffic cleared up, I did 80 mph to get there in time. Got there, parked, ran into the mall and made it to the desk at 6:16! Huffing and puffing. One stinking minute passed the grace period. Dr. Mebrahtu wouldn't see me. While I understand I think a little grace was in order. They missed out on making whatever they make for a yearly exam and Lens Crafters missed out on 400.00 which is what I usually spend. All for ONE minute over the grace period. There was no one else waiting and the eye exam takes all of 15 minutes. Took my business elsewhere.

Had a wonderful experience with the doctor. Had a slightly unhappy experience initially with one of the receptionist at the doctor's office but it worked out fine at the end.
Chris did a fabulous job in helping us pick up the right pair of eye glasses. He is a SME and gave very honest feedback. He is very friendly and makes every customer feel welcome.

Very disappointed with my attempted visit today. I had a 5:20 appointment and was stuck behind an accident. My wife called at 515(waiting on hold for 10 minutes) to let them know I was on my way but stuck in traffic. They said he has to be here by 535, they allow 15mins. I park and run in and get to the counter at 537, wait a min for an assistant to come out. Asked my name and says unfortunately we have a 15 minute grace period and cannot serve you.
Empty waiting room. Called in advance to let them know. 2 minutes beyond their 15 minutes. Wow.
I will not go back, has been my eye Dr for 8 years. The smug look on their face turning me away is what annoyed me the most.

My mother-in-law was seen yesterday at this facility and received excellent care. Dr Mebrhatu and the technician were professional, attentive and caring-I highly recommend them. The chronic dry eye issue my mother in law have never been explained despite multiple follow up with previous care givers. But Dr. Mebrhatu diagnosed the problem, explained it throughly and upgraded the treatment to prescription drugs with added therapeutic routines.

I have never had an eye exam there until today. Dr. Judy was fantastic! Her excellent team gave me both the eye pressure and retinal tests. Executed flawlessly. Dr. Judy was stellar in reviewing the eye pressure and retinal tests as well as her own exam. Very impressed with her.
Marie Carmella, who has helped me before, was - again - on-top of her game. I picked out eyeglasses as well as Marie. She gave me her opinion on each of them and am grateful for it! I left with two pair of glasses that I love!
Would highly recommend Lens Crafters in the Rockaway Mall (NJ) to anyone needing either/both an eye exam and eye glasses!
