Center For Eyecare: Girgis, Raymond MD

The first 2 times I went there as a new patient, the front desk manager was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. Plus each time I was there for 2-2.5 hours. I was then told I had to pay $175 just for a contact lens fitting, and no insurance would cover it. My next visit (for the fitting) ran over 2 hours again, most of the time spent sitting and waiting in the waiting room. The following visit to get another trial pair ran 2 hours again, about a half hour total between seeing the tech and the doctor. The tech didn't review with me taking out the lenses, they were running behind so my guess is they just wanted to skip it. To make matters worse, they had no WiFi so all that sitting around was basically wasted time. The icing on the cake was that after this visit, I was home on Saturday and couldn't for the life of me get them out. I called the service, Dr. Girgis called me back and told me he 'couldn't open the office on a weekend, so to go to Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.' Stay away from.this practice. Nothing but aggravating!

I have been a patient of Dr Gigis for about twenty years. Dr. Nyquist did my cataract surgery. She was excellent! However my last visit was upsetting to the point that I will not be returning. The office staff was not friendly to the point of being rude. Even Dr Nyquist was not friendly. I am a black woman when I entered the office I was not greeted and no friendly exchange was initiated. Moments later a white man entered. The smiles and the warm exchange was striking. The difference was night and day. I will not be treated this way. I will not return!

Dr. Girgis was a skilled eye surgeon for many years. I like the fact that he has the highest level of experience and skill. They have the newest technology. His associate Dr. Nyquist did my cataract surgery and my wife's. We are extremely happy with the results. It is very evident that Dr. Girgis cares about his patients and he is a very nice person who takes his time to explain and answer any questions. When a doctor is exceptional the waiting room will be full and it can be a wait to get an appointment but the office staff does a great job.

Dr Girgis is very genuinely cares for his patients. He's very professional and friendly he takes his time, he spends time answering your questions or concerns. The office is very nice n clean.. I'm very please with him I don't feel rush either. His staffs is very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this office to all my family and friends..

Dr. Girgis and his staff are absolutely fantastic. I began seeing him back in 2008. There were a few years in between then and now where I stopped going to his office simply because it was more convenient to go elsewhere when I switched jobs and health systems, but no one else I've ever gone to has compared in terms of professionalism, service, and respect for the patient. After that hiatus, I now happily drive 20+ minutes out of my way to come to this office knowing I will see an ophthalmology team that I trust. Dr. Girgis is an outstanding physician and provides a very high standard of medical care. He and his staff are exceedingly kind and accommodating, and the office runs like a well-oiled machine. They are efficient and very respectful of patients' time without ever making me feel rushed or overlooked in any way. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and well-trained, and they work together quite seamlessly to attend to the patients. This office is also one of the best I've ever been to when it comes to the responsible handling of Covid-19 precautions. I cannot recommend Dr. Girgis enough!

Dr. Girgis is a doctor who genuinely cares for his patients. Occasionally you may wait 15 minutes before seeing him. This is because he spends time answering questions or concerns you may have. I never feel rushed because he overbooks as some doctors do. He has removed my cataracts and is treating my glaucoma. His staff is professional, pleasant, and friendly. I highly recommend him for your eye care. He keeps up with the latest treatments in his field. His office and equipment are spotless.

Dr. Girgus is very patient, reassuring and knowledgeable. He spends enough time to make sure that I get all my questions answered. He is sensitive to my strong dislike of having my eye pressure checked and having drops put in. I've had a few issues that I've needed to get in right away and his office has accommodated me. I highly recommend this practice. I also appreciate the careful approach they took during COVID.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Girgis for many years we wouldn't go anywhere else. He is the kindest and most caring doctor you could ever have to take care of your eyes. I've cataract surgery and he was wonderful. The office staff are very friendly
