Eye Physicians - Sewell

I've been a patient of this office ever since they opened. A few yrs ago, patients were requested a credit or debit in case there were any additional charges that Medicare/supplement didn't pay. I have had annual check-ups, cataract removed, etc. and every charged was covered fully by my insurance. I refused to supply my credit card info, and I assumed that was ok. I've been there a few times since. Today, my husband had an appt & was asked for his credit card. He refused and walked out. So, Eye Physicians are now demanding credit card or debit card info. Why would anyone supply that info prior to knowing what the additional charges would be? We will no longer be going to this group, eventhough we were pleased with the physicians.

Dr Zheng did my cataract surgery and is amazing! Surgery was easier than expected. The office is very clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

I don't understand the horrible reviews? I had an extremely good experience with Joann and Amanda. The obviously know their jobs and take great care in their clients. Nothing but a good experience, can't recommend them enough. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends.

It seems that most reviews of Jefferson/Wills/Eye Associates center on the same concern: office management. Over-aggressive scheduling (to maximize profit) seems to result in most patients being seen HOURS after their scheduled appointment. Don't just listen to me; listen to conversation in the waiting room! I overhear or participate in these talks every time I visit, and no one seems happy with the LENGTHY wait....especially after having shown respect for professional staffs time by punctually reporting for their appointments. The Dr I see is extraordinary . Her support staff: professional and well-trained. I have been a long-time Eye Associates patient, but my next annual check-up may well be with a practice that is more respectful of its patients time.

I have been wearing glasses since age 10 I am now 66. I began using EyePhyscians in Turnersville in 2021 and have had nothing but exceptional eye diagnosis and treatment here. Three people standout - Dr. Lingapan who diagnosed a retinal pucker, Dr. Zheng who performed cataract surgery, and Amanda (an Optician). I came to her station with a frame selection and my prescription. She treated me as if I was the only customer in the building. She never rushed and she gave me all the attention In needed. She looked at my prescription and my frame choice and advised me to allow her to go back over to the frame choices on the wall and see if she could find a similar frame as the one I chose, but one that would be less wide due to the thickness the lens would become In the frames I chose. She came over with eight other choices and we actually found a better choice for just about the same price as the one I picked. If you go to EyePhysicians for frames make sure you get Amanda.

It's been a few years since I've had my eyes checked by a doctor, so Wills Eye seemed like a great choice. Happily, my eyes are as healthy as can be expected at my age, so I'm glad that l went. However, like most people, I resent when others waste my time. I waited in a room with at least a dozen other senior citizens, all of us waited well over 45 minutes before being seen despite having appointments. I don't know if there's a belief that seniors' time don't matter because we're old and who cares about making us wait, or if they over book and make everyone wait. Maybe they are struggling to stay open and need to over book in order to justify keeping this branch open. You should be aware that if you make an appointment here, you'll be there all day. Also be made aware, that if you want your prescription written down on a piece of paper, it costs $50 out of pocket and they don't ask you if you want your prescription. I wanted my script but because no one asked me if I wanted my script, I had to start the process all over again and sit in a long queue to be seen for that. It's kind of Kafkaesque, 'when will this frustration end?' Happily, I do feel that my eyes got a good exam and the staff are pleasant despite being obviously over-worked.

Had cataract surgery in Nov and Dr Cox and nursed were wonderful but finance personnel were a nightmare. They were rude and threatening when I asked about an unexpected item on my bill for almost $500. They said they would just take it out of my account on file if they wanted to. When I got the final bill, I paid in full within a week only to discover they sent my account to a collection agency before my payment reached them, now I have to fight to get my credit restored. Unacceptable.

I love my doctor at Eye Physicians but I don't think I'll be back to this location. Crowded waiting room, not running on time, and they want a credit card on file so they can bill my card if the EOB from insurance says I owe more. Their form actually says that you sign away your rights to dispute the charge with your credit card company! That's insanity to do that! There were a lot of seniors in there and I'm wondering how many of them signed without reading this fine print. It's just a lot to overlook to go back.
