I had a cataract removed on my left eye on June 5th 2024 by Dr Pastore. My Husband has been a patient of Dr. Pastore for many years. After seeing Dr Pastore and having issues with my left eye he recommended I have cataract surgery. It's been 3 months since my surgery and my eye is slowly beginning to heal. Initially I had the feeling of sand in my eye w/an irritated feeling that something was in my eye. I realized later on that this is a normal feeling that you will incur for a while as the eye takes time to heal. I was experiencing what's called "dry eye" something I never had or experienced before. The good news is I now have close to 20/20 vision in my left eye after surgery. A major difference in my eye site. Dr Pastore was very patient with me and even made several appointment after visiting hours to see me and address my concerns. To date my eye is continuing to heal slowly, using the eye drops does help. My eye still gets scratchy sore and burns at times but I assume that part of the healing process. I would recommend letting the patient know initially before the surgery on what they will or may experience after the procedure so the patient is prepared and knows what to expect.

Terrible experience. For starters, when sitting in waiting room, radio had clear profanity. I personally didn't care, but if someone with a young kid comes in, different story. The receptionist called me up to make a copay. With my coverage I don't have copays if I have a referral. She then tells me they always charge people in my workplace copays. I asked for a bill so I could consult and come back to pay. No bill was given, just an incorrect breakdown of my coverage plan. Then we get to the exam. The doctor puts drops in my eyes, never stated he is dilating them, nor did I get a heads up when making an appointment they would be doing so. I ended up being stranded on a major highway unable to drive safely. When my wife called to ask what drops were given the receptionist gave nothing but attitude, no information to help and told my wife that I'm a big boy and to put sunglasses on. Once I realized the error in insurance, I reported it. Literally as I'm communicating with someone from my insurance agency about this, a different receptionist from Pastore's office calls me to yell at me for reporting it, tried changing what the other receptionist had said to me and refused to let me speak.

Besides getting a thorough eye exam, Dr. Pastore has a adjacent optical department which is run by Jason. I ordered new glasses and while waiting for them, I fell, broke my hip, had surgery, and am in rehab. Jason made a house call to get me my.new glasses!!! Unbelievable!!

Engages in elder abuse by putting extra drops in my eyes with No warning for an unscheduled procedure or exam. Not nice not fair. I am 85 years old and live 25miles from his office.

Unprofessional and rude receptionist... waited 45 minutes for literally 5 minutes check up. When I asked how longer I have to wait ? The answer was would you like to reschedule!! Absolutely unprofessional and talking loud over the patients very disrespectful. Dr. Pastore is good but I am not sure if he knows about that and just ignoring it!

I thought the doctor was very good, thorough, nice and I would recommend him. The optician that is attached to his practice is FANTASTIC. It's the best glasse I every had, and I've had a lot. Very patient, reasonable, knowledgable.

Dr. Pastore helped me after hours to remove something from my eye. Excellent patient service. Five stars.
