Had cataract surgery with Dr. "Tony" Athwal. I paid for top of the line lenses. Right eye went fine, but left was trouble from day one. After months of hearing "You're fine" I went to my old ophthalmologist up north, who said the lens in left eye was NOT the multi focal lens in right eye, that this lens causes scar tissue and isn't used anymore. Had to go to Wills in Philadelphia to have it removed. Still not right.

I have been there a few times. First for eye exam . Then found out I had cataracts, which I will have removed soon.Every one from front desk , technicians, pre surgical staff and Drs have been great. Fully explaining each step and putting me totally at ease.

Stay away from this place. Their billing department is ridiculous. They have this new policy as of 2026 from what I was told by the woman who answered the phone,
if you have a deductible whether or not you are just responsible for your copay they will charge you. I paid $150.00 plus my $40 copay. Called my insurance and was told I should have only paid my $40 copay. Tried talking to their billing department and I get nowhere.

I am extremely sorry I had cataract surgery. I never had obstruction in my vision before the surgery. After the surgery I have black spots and black filaments in my field of view. It's been about 8 months since my surgery. The doctor said that they would fade . They haven't!! My wife and I will never return to Sight MD. We will also tell family and friends to steer clear of this place

The wait was Over an hour to get in for first test. Then waited another 20 min for Doctor who spent 6 minutes with us. No regard for people's time or communication to say the Dr is running late. Pretty much a factory. The receptionist looked miserable and unfriendly.

Although their doctors are excellent and they have excellent equipment.Their billing department is completely out of control. They will not bill your insurance.. They will continue to send bills to you.Create confusion over your insurance.And then eventually send you to collections, which will affect your credit report. I have blue cross blue shield, with n j direct some of the best insurance that they supposedly accept.. Okay, that's it fair warning you'll get great care.But they're going to bill you direct.You're not going to be able to use your insurance.
