My parents have been patients with the original doctors (the Athwals) who merged into SightMD. My mother was referred to Dr. Lakhani, a glaucoma specialist, when her condition became critical. Dr. Lakhani recommended a cyclophotocoagulation procedure which he performed. My mother (98 years old) came through the procedure successfully. Dr. Lakhani explained everything about the procedure that he recommended and the possible outcomes of success or failure.
The office staff is pleasant and efficient (same is true for the staff at the Athwals office) and despite the volume of patients, the wait time feels minimal.

If I could give this practice more than 5 stars, I would. The office itself is very clean, and attractive. It actually feels cozy. Dr. Lakhani is professional and so knowledgeable. When I went to see him, my eye pressure was 41 and with the eye drops he gave me, my pressure was where it should be in only 3 days. He also made it so that I only needed 3 medications instead of the 8 I was using, and only twice a day instead of 3 or 4 times a day. His staff is lovely. Every single one of them is professional, friendly and patient. I would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone.

I am very happy with Dr Lakhani's office...the front desk was very pleasant upon arrival and the two medical assistants were sure to make sure my readings were to my satisfaction for my new glasses... Dr Lakhani greeted me by name which is always a nice touch...last visit he suggested collegen plugs for my dry eye which my former eye doctor of many years never did...I'm still so impressed by that because what a difference they make!

My mom speaks very highly of Dr. Lahkani. I've been having a dry eye problem for a very long time. My current doctor wanted to do a procedure that was a lot of money out of pocket. So I decided to get a second opinion. He was very professional, yet caring. His office staff was also very nice. He set me up on a plan to see if we can do something else to help my issues. I'm glad I made this appointment rather than go by one opinion. Hoping this plan works.
