I've never felt so compelled to write a review of a business, but the lack of respect and service I received as a customer has made me want the public to be wary when considering this eye doctor to be a good fit for them and their family. My initial visit went well. Nothing out of the ordinary. The doctor that attended me was training an apprentice. The apprentice had made a mistake in taking down measurements of my sight as I overheard in conversation with the attending doctor. I didnt think much of it, especially since I know what its like being trained in the field. I received my prescription a few weeks later. I scheduled a second visit for a re-check because my vision hadn't fully improved with my new prescription and was made aware that I was already past the 60 day trial period. I didn't have my prescription with me then since I came directly from work and wasnt made aware in my appointment confirmation. I was met with the red haired supervisor and Asian manager who tag teamed and decided to approach me in a confrontational manner. They mentioned the importance of bringing the prescription to make comparisons which helped me understand. I suggested that it would be a good idea to let customers know that they should bring their prescription for a re-check, so that way they dont waste their time like I did. The Asian Manager then said in a belittling and disrespectful manner that it should be "common sense." But later proceeded saying that they were trying to help me out by not having to pay the $50 re-check fee. So I went ahead and scheduled a 3rd appointment. I arrived and was attended in my final visit. The technician made me aware that I would have to sign agreeing to pay $50 for the re-check fee, but let her know that in my last visit I spoke to the managers and it was my understanding that it would be waived. The technician let her red haired supervisor know, which she explained that in the notes on my file, the Asian manager demanded that I pay the $50 fee. So much for "trying to help me out." The red hair supervisor then rudely said that "We'll do the re-check, but if they bill you, they bill you." I understand the business policy of the $50 fee, and I would have had no issue paying for it. But the lack of empathy and service, inflated egos and superiority complexes in this establishment just isn't worth the head ache. Take your business elsewhere. Don't be the bane of their existence.

The staff are respectful and my doctor is excellent. This location's respect for my time is completely nonexistent. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time, and ended up sitting in the waiting room for almost 45 minutes before being seen. During the appointment, I had my pupils dilated and waited 15-20 minutes for the dilation to take full effect (which is normal). What was not normal was waiting in the exam room for another 20 minutes before the doctor came in. From beginning to end, my entire, routine appointment took two entire hours to finish. There was zero communication about how long I would be waiting or possible delays. There was zero regard for how long myself and the other patients were sitting in the waiting room. A suggestion: when a patient is checking in, make them aware of the wait, possibly even offer the opportunity to reschedule. People take time out of their day to look after their health, the very least a medical office can do is make sure that their time is not wasted. My experience here showed me that I was the only person who valued my time. The lack of communication was totally unacceptable, and I will absolutely not be coming back.

Rude and incompetent staff. I do NOT recommend this place, especially if you have kids. I was informed just one day before my appointment that I needed a referral, which caused me unnecessary stress while I was at work because they refused to help by contacting the referring office themselves. On the day of the appointment, I had an emergency and was running late. Even though they told me they offer a 15-minute grace period, suddenly that "didn't apply" to my appointment. They seem to enjoy making things harder for patients. Overall, just a very unprofessional experience.

After I had my exams in the Union office, I asked for my medical records. The office supervisor, Ms. Chun, was rude. She told me that my records were dozens of pages long and that patients must pay $1.00 per page, even I have Medicare insurance. I asked if she could email me the records. She raised her voice and said, "Email would be the same price -- $1.00 per page!" She said that their office policies were made by her supervisor, Benny Sanchez.

Really so terrible. Went there the dr I saw had no personality. I had tear duck plugs put in and she didn't put them in right and one was scratching my eye. I'm a working mom and I don't have time to go to the drs office everyday due to their mistakes. I tried to go in before I started my 12 he shift and they knew I had work within 45 mins and took forever to call me back so I walked out. If you messed up don't you think you should provide good care to make up for your mistake? Regardless, even when I was there another patient was also upset with the front desk and they were arguing. They definitely did my vision test incorrectly - they said my vision improved?? That typically does not happen so I didn't want to waste money getting new glasses for an incorrect script I went to another eye dr and guess what they were completely off. Got my new glasses with the NEW script from another dr and it was great. If I ended up using theirs I would have lost out on $500+. They also billed my since $1,190 dollars on top of billing my eye insurance God knows what. They dismissed me from the practice bc I was upset with their care and made sure they knew it.

Dr. Patel is truly amazing. I have no complaints about her at all. However, the organization and communication from the staff have been very disappointing. I specifically requested for my contacts to be sent to the Union location and even received a voicemail confirming they were ready for pickup there. But when I arrived, I was told they had been sent to the Springfield office instead, an office I didn't even know existed. I never would have asked for that location, so it was frustrating to be told otherwise. When I explained that I had come to the Union location as instructed, the staff member told me I could just go to the Springfield office to pick them up since it is only five minutes away. I refused and asked her to please have the contacts brought to the Union office instead. She said that would not be a problem and that it would take about a day for them to be transferred. She promised to call me once they arrived. That conversation happened in the morning of Thursday and now it is Monday evening. I still have not received any update.This is not the first time I have dealt with confusion here. During my contact lens trial, I received a voicemail saying I needed to return for the doctor to check the fit after two weeks. But when I called to schedule the appointment, the staff member told me it was not necessary and that I could go ahead and place the order. I explained that I had received a voicemail asking me to return to the office, but she insisted that it was not needed. I trusted her, gave my credit card information, and placed the order for the lenses. Later, I received a call saying I actually did need to come in for a follow-up, which is what I had expected all along. This kind of miscommunication and unnecessary back and forth is extremely frustrating, especially considering I already paid for my lenses and I still have not received them. It really should not be this complicated.

The staff on the second floor are incredibly rude!! A week after receiving my glasses I noticed an issue with glare despite paying for anti glare and the receptionist told me "Well you have to keep your glasses clean"
