I usually don't do reviews, but felt I had to in this situation. If I could give a zero, I would. Worst experience ever at an eye doctor and I've been going since I was 2 and once had glass removed from an eye. One time I had an appointment, and they didn't open on time, so my daughter and I were left in the cold until finally I left. They forgot to order my contacts twice (I've been there twice) and I had to keep calling and going to the office. The lady who answers their calls is unknowledgeable and can't help to solve anything. While there is a sign outside that says, "doctor is in", there is no doctor in the office, my appointment was via Zoom. I should have been told that ahead of time. First time I tried to get glasses, I was told they were $1,000 with insurance and when I asked for a breakdown it was not given. I have been trying to secure my prescription for 6 months to no avail. I've called at least 5 times, while I get the same answer: "I will let the doctor know". I am forced to file a complaint with the FTC because NJ law requires that eye doctors provide a prescription. After 6 months I was given a digital copy and that was not accepted by any of the 3 eye doctors I went to afterwards. I even had one of the eye doctors call to verify the information so I could get glasses. She came back and said I understand while you're having a problem with them, that was the most unprofessional call I've had. After that I sent a message through the portal and asked if I could please get my prescription mailed to me and I was told to pay $5. A stamp is 74 cents! Provision you do not have to respond. This is MY EXPERIENCE!!

I went in for an updated prescription and had a very unusual experience. The eye exam was conducted by the receptionist while the doctor guided the process remotely via a Microsoft Teams call displayed on a TV in a back room. After the exam, the doctor spoke with me through Teams for the remainder of the visit. The staff was polite and the appointment itself was efficient, but the setup felt impersonal and not what I expected from an eye exam. For something that typically involves direct, hands-on evaluation by a doctor, the fully remote approach was uncomfortable and left me questioning how thorough the exam actually was. Unless this type of remote format is necessary due to an emergency or special circumstance, I would not recommend this location for routine eye care. Patients who prefer direct interaction with their doctor may find the experience strange and less reassuring than a traditional in-person exam.

This has to be one of the most unprofessional locations that you can ever get your eyes checked out in. For starters, to make an appointment It takes them wanting to take you as a patient. Also, if you are a union member, be very careful with giving them the voucher,As they don't know, the policies of how to Properly enforce them. as a side note, they say they have to have you have a "mandatory"retina scan for an additional $50 that is their upsell says the doctor won't see you without it, which brings me to the next topic. There is no physical doctor in this location. It's all via the comfort of her own home via video. Any questions that you have afterwards? The receptionist has to text a doctor and have to wait for a response. Another note once you are picking out glasses,Although the selection is not new, they do have a lot NONE have prices on it. So if you have a question about 12 classes, she has to send pictures to the doctor and wait to get a response back on the prices. We went on the saturday, which they are supposed to open at ten in the morning and waited for the girl to arrive in front of the location until about ten twenty six when she finally showed up. When these things were brought up to the attention of *EMILY* the office administrator instead of taking a with a grain of salt,she stated that she does not want to deal with us as clients because she did not appreciate the constructive criticism, which in all businesses, is imperative for growth. Take your business elsewhere...anywhere but here

Adding onto the pile of terrible reviews - DO NOT GO HERE. Weeks to finally receive trial lenses that were the wrong prescription. Weeks to wait for my appointment because X machine is broken. Asked for a refund of the exam cost I paid out of pocket without realizing that they did not take my new insurance (they never told me, and I just assumed that the cost was expensive with insurance, instead of telling me my insurance was not covering - sneaky) and they flat out refused to refund me even though they have messed up several times and I still do not have my lenses, WHICH I ALSO SPECIFIED I NEEDED URGENTLY. STAY FAR AWAY, GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. Update: went to Garden State Eye Group in Springfield and got my trial lenses literally the same day, a fraction of the cost, and they already shipped the order out and will arrive at my home in a few days. That's how you run a business. Have fun keeping my egregious copay you refuse to refund even though I got NO prescription and NO lenses, straight up thieves.

I made an appointment for both my husband and i. once we did a few tests waiting to see the doctor. The remote system wasn't work and we wait for 15 min but decided to go and come back once it's get fix. I am working remotely and i understand things happen when doctors working remote. So not a big deal. Then after an hour they called and saying it is fixed and we can go back. So we went and everything was smooth with the doctor, she was nice and knowledgeable. we decided to pick some frames. So i found 2 that i liked and i asked for price. The price was shocking and i said it is before adding my insurance which cover 150$. But the answer was no. The funny thing is the brand was ray ban and i know the price range. So i checked ray-ban website and found exact frame which was 180$ .with my insurance cover i can have it only for 30$ out of pocket. So i did ordered online.Then for my husband lenses they give us an unreasonable price. We both having eye glasses more than 10 years and we know how much it usually costs with insurance. So i asked can you give us details. Like every places printing out insurance and going over with you that we have these options and this is the amount your insurance cover and this is what you pay out of pocket. It is nice to be clear with your customer.people know how to search for brands and see the real prices. So we didn't buy any glasses. The other thing i like to mention is the patients portal which is so useless. they send us a link which will expire in 24 hours and it is only one time use. So if someone was busy and need time to do it later after a week it is not working. I have so many patients portal for my different doctors and non of them was like that. They usually give you a link with username and password so you can go in there and once you have time you will be able to change the password and make it confidential. The link didn't work for us and when i called them to fix it. They were not able to do it. It was locked and they keep sending the same link which was so useless. So i suggest if they work on the IT and their technical support to have a better and easier solution for customers for remotely accessing and connecting maybe a good place.

This was one of the best experiences I've had at an optometry location. The receptionist on the phone was very polite and helpful... I called in and had an appointment the same day within the next 2 hours. There was no wait and the technician, Andrea was amazing. Very nice customer service, accommodating, and social distance friendly. The doctor was not face to face but through video and even still, she gave great feedback and explained in full detail what she was examining. This was my first time here and I loved my experience. I recommend everyone to try this location.
