Devang Bhoiwala, M.D.

I had an urgent issue with an irritated eye and was fortunate to be seen by Dr. Devang L. Bhoiwala at The Eye Care Center of New Jersey. He took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and quickly put a treatment plan in place. He was compassionate, thorough, and reassuring throughout my visit. I'm very grateful for his care and highly recommend him.

I didn't want to write this review because I'm absolutely certain Dr. Boiwala has no idea what's going on but as always his staff is a mess. Here goes: In July 2023, I had surgery to remove a chalazion with Dr. Boiwala. Afterward, my eye started shrinking. Throughout 2024, he told me we had to give it time that nerves often suffer trauma after surgery and needed time In mid-2025 tired of having my eye fatigued and completely dull, I went back to see the doctor to find out what he would say about the next step because two years had already passed and my eye was getting worse It turns out they told me I have to pay 250 dollars or they couldn't let me see the doctor because I had an outstanding balance the situation that was very strange to me because I have two insurance companies and One of them is Tricare which covers 100% of everything and is extremely good, if not the best To see the doctor I had to pay the $250 I owed because they didn't have my insurance Tricare in File as I felt unwell, I proceeded to look for another doctor who could see me, who diagnosed me with ptosis palpebral and told me it was a trauma from the surgery. It turns out that no one can give a reason why the majestic staff of Dr. Boiwala did not properly process the information from my two insurance companies but now I just questioning myself who's going to fix this issue in my eye

Dr. Bhoiwala explained to me clearly the outcome and provided his advice on the next steps. His examination was detailed and unhurried. Good experience overall

This doctor cares. He takes the time to know you and spends the time to get your input to make health care decisions for your vision together. My entire family now goes to him. I can't speak more highly of the doctors technical ability as well as bedside manner. Highly recommend

Dr. Bhoiwala is the absolute best there is. He makes me feel so comfortable every time I go into the office to see him. He has great bedside manner and is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I am so glad I was referred to him and would not go anywhere else. 10/10 doctor!
