Dr. Kenneth P. Goldblum, MD

Had an appt with Dr. Anne Bilyeu Crisler Comer. Waited 40 minutes in waiting room. Patient was very nervous about getting an eye exam and assistant was told she was scared to be dilated. Waited another 48 minutes for doctor. By this time patient was ready to leave. Doctor came in..assured her they could dilate her eyes with out touching them. Another assistant came in to check eye pressure assuring her she would not touch her eyes. Assistant did touch her eyes. Patient had an anxiety attack and refused any further help. Patient went to wait in the car. I waited 25 more minutes and decided to leave. Saw the doctor finish with a patient who checked in 15 minutes after us. I was very miffed with this doctor she did not bother to read my relatives history of 2 eye surgeries, or the fact she was complaining of eye pressure and headaches. Despite the fact the patient advocate (me) told everyone how scared this adult patient was..they did little to relieve her fears. We spent nearly 2 hours waiting on someone to come in and alleviate the patient's fears or to try to figure away to get her eye pressure and check the back of the eyes without dilating them. Found out later there are instruments for this, but not offered to my patient. This office has a history of a 2 hour wait. Now they have a history of not caring for a scared patient and not explaining another doctor can check eye pressures with instruments that don't touch the eye. This eye doctor seemed kind at first..then left her patient to make more money knowing the anxiety she caused...she said nothing..so sorry, no apology. Not very caring and a waste of money.

The doctor himself is amazing very kind and caring for his patients. However some of his staff need a memo on how to act professional. They made my husband and daughter wait in our vehicle with this hot weather said only one parent could go into the room with our son.. the total visit took about 40 minutes and my husband saw three other sets of parents walk out no one else told to wait in their vehicle... Not to mention she would not call my son by his first name. He has two first names.... And they only use one.... Rude.

My 2 year olds left eye kept going in while focusing on objects Dr. Goldblum prescribed him glasses and now has me patching his eye everyday for 2 hours!! He is an amazing Doctor is super friendly with my son and is always on time which is amazing! The staff there is very friendly and professional the appointment are great you never have to wait more than the doctors recommend! Take your children here it's an amazing place

We have been a patient if Dr Goldblooms for 12 yrs, but that doesn't matter they will no longer schedule my son everytime I call they are not scheduling and you have to call back in 4 months!!! Lol thank God he's not the only optometrist in Albuquerque!!

Not sure what happened to all the lower reviews they had.( I had seen them last yr) Kind of strange only the good reviews are left on here. I have been calling since the end of October beginning of November just to be told to call in December to make an apt. I called in December just to be told call back in January. That's a bit ridiculous.

Awesome Eye Doctor! We make a trip from Alamogordo and it's definitely worth it!

Took my 3 year old staff was great.
