My first time to Regina Hall today was an urgent visit, and very pleasant. It's an old building, very cool inside.
The receptionist was warm and friendly when I checked in and out. The technician, Karen, was very efficient, polite and seemed very knowledgeable at her job. And the doctor was great, reassuring that I had no major issues, told me how to treat my symptoms and had me schedule a full eye exam which was available 2 months later, and 2 months earlier than another location could get me in.
Visit started off on the wrong foot. Our Tri-care insurance gave us the referral to go to this location, when we get there the doctor was really rude and told us our insurance wasn't acceptable and that she didn't why we would get a referral there. I had this appointment scheduled since November and unfortunately for my son he wasn't feeling to well and I did not want to cancel, as this appointment had already Ben moved from Feb to April. The doctor was extremely rude with my son and kept making gestures and sighing loudly. She clearly did not want us in her office. Very unprofessional manner to treat patients and really rushed us out of the office. The last time my son had an optometry appointment we were told he had a minor astigmatism but nothing was noted in this appointment. I don't want to say that she purposely didn't tell us but I know she rushed us out and did a very quick eye exam. I don't think that I will ever come back to this office for anything. Was treated like a burden the entire time, will not return!!!
This is my first visit to this clinic at the Dr. MLK Jr. location. The moment you enter, it feels good as the place and people are all welcoming and smiling. This location has a guard and he is very attentive as to what is happening in the building and the surroundings. All the staff was attentive to my needs, friendly, courteous and specially the doctor was knowledgeable and answered all my questions without any hesitation. Thanks so much for your good work! Well worth the wait for an appointment. The doctors are caring, friendly, and compassionate. The techs and receptionists are kind and thoughtful. The pediatric care is exceptional. Waiting time for peds is minimal once you arrive for your appointment. Easy to re-order contacts over the phone to be mailed. I highly recommend for pediatrics and adults.
Professional and prompt. I was very concerned about this appointment after reading reviews on Google. But it was the only location that would accept my insurance and had an appointment available the next day. I was pleasantly surprised that the receptionists were welcoming, the waiting room was pleasant, the technicians were friendly and professional and (most importantly) Dr. Durso was wonderful!! The location was convenient right off the interstate, which was nice because I live on the other side of town. Overall I had an excellent experience here and will definitely use them again.
Today my nonverbal son who is 5yrs old was seen at Eye Associations for glasses (our first visit) and let me say everyone was so friendly and the location was clean and our appointment was fast! I give this location a 5 stars! Thank you for the great experience. They also have a security guard which is great!
Had to wait 6 months, rescheduled, then had to wait another 6 months. In that time, the twitching in my eye stopped.
The checkup was worth it, I guess. The staff member that did my initial screening before meeting the doctor wasn't necessarily the friendliest, but they weren't rude either.
I have never had a proper eye exam, so I wish they had informed me beforehand that my eyes would be dilated. Or at least given me some temporary shades so that I felt safe driving off. They reassured me that it would be fine to drive home since it didn't affect distance, but it was way too bright.
I would not recommend this location to anyone. Front staff were rude. I felt like I was an inconvenience for them to do their jobs. A shelf in the waiting room fell on my sons head and NO ONE asked if he was ok. He sustained a golf ball size knot on his head and headaches for a few days after. Staff saw. The shelf was no longer there when we returned from the back. We both felt very uncomfortable, unsafe and disappointed while being there. It's not a patient friendly environment. We didn't say anything to management because we just wanted to leave and it was clear no one was going to care
