I was getting feedback with my hearing aids so I stopped into the Hearing and Vision Center on Menaul. They not only fixed the feedback problem but also examined my ears for possible occlusion from wax buildup and showed me how to properly clean my hearing aids. All of the staff were knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. If I need hearing aid help in the future, I now know where to go.
Love this place & their expertise! We love the speed in which to get an appointment, the trial hearing aide option, personal fitting, and the gradual adjustment in hearing levels, which helps one to acclimate. The care & customer service is not what you would get under any health care plan's in-house provider.
Best hearing aid shop in Albuquerque. Super attentive to customer needs, and great prices.
I have been wearing hearing aids over ten years. In that time the service I have received at Hearing & Vision has been the best experience ever had . Service is the best I have ever experienced. Always treated with respect and professionalism.
Overall my grandma and I had a very good experience. She was able to get a great used pair of hearing aids that she couldn't otherwise have afforded and is very happy with them. There was a little lack of communication regarding leasing options at first, but everything worked out great. The audiologist was gentle and courteous, The assistant fitting the aids was thorough and made sure they were comfortable. My grandma commented that she was very nice. The front desk attendant was kind as well. I did not put in their names because I didn't ask before writing this review.
I saw an ad for the Hearing Aid Store last year, checked the reviews on line & was impressed, so I made an appointment for my husband. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, Sylvia. We were seen almost immediately, coffee/water etc was offered. My husband felt at ease, his first hearing aids, and enjoyed talking/joking with the tester/technician. He ordered his hearing aids and has had no problems with them. I was pleasantly surprised to be called a few months ago by Sylvia to remind us of his annual check up for his hearing aids , which I had completely forgotten about. On our visit, my husband did mention that he'd had a problem recently with one falling out & Jim, immediately offered several solutions, one of which solved the problem. Everyone is so friendly, it is a pleasure to visit their offices.
I was shopping around to get more information about custom ear molds for sleep. I called the business listed as "Hearing and Vision Center" and I spoke to Romy who told me what the office visit/impression cost, but she did not know how much the ear molds cost. She said she would have to do some research and then call me back. Most other businesses I called knew exactly what they cost, and the prices really did vary quite a bit. ($145-$200). I then called another business listed as "Hearing Aid Store" (listed as a different business) and Romy answered. She was extremely rude to me saying that I had already called earlier. I apologized and explained that I had called several places and I had tried my best to keep track of which businesses I had called. She said in a very rude tone that if I'm "calling 20 places she'd rather not waste her time to do the research and to take my business elsewhere". Wow! Somehow Romy expected me to know that it was going to take her at least 30 minutes or more to do this research (on a product that she offers), and she expected me to know that it's a product that's rarely ever requested. I'm sorry that I inconvenienced you Romy! Never been treated that way as a customer just trying to shop around. It's rare to run into an entitled business owner, especially that of a small business. I'm honestly still in shock. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
Edit (in response): What exactly about my post is partially true? I didn't think you had a reason to be rude to me at all, but you seemed annoyed when I mistakenly called back. Yes, I do regret getting upset and using foul language and I apologize for my mistake, but I was being accused of wasting your time when I was simply price shopping. I didn't ask you for anything other than a price. You were the one that offered to do research and call me back. Out of anger and shock I hung up and then called you back not to berate you but to genuinely ask if you expected me to not be an informed consumer and shop around? Did you honestly expect me to just give you my business because you offered to spend a little time to answer my question? For the record, I never used foul language when I called that time, and you did finish your sentence the first time and told me to take my business somewhere else. Not only are you rude and unprofessional, but dishonest as well.
For those of you who are also shopping around, there are plenty of reputable businesses out there. I would avoid this one.
Outstanding as always. Jim Blagg is professional, friendly, and as knowledgeable about my hearing needs and hearing aids as any audiologist I have ever dealt with, both in the military and civilian worlds. I have never have any issue with The Hearing Aid Store and staff for as long as I have been their patient.
I highly recommend The Hearing Aid Store to all who need any hearing aids and care.
