I am extremely happy with my eyes 3 days post RLE surgery. All the staff from Morgan, the receptionist (give that girl a raise) to the Doctor (R. Melendez) were extremely friendly and great at their job. I don't recall everyone's name but know that everyone was great and it has been a great experience. Thank you for letting me watch my own surgery :)

Great experience from beginning to end! I decided to move forward with the refractive lens exchange in both eyes with the PanOptix lens. During the actual surgery Dr Melendez talked me through each step of the procedure to ease my mind and feel comfortable with what he was doing. I'm a nurse practitioner and I felt extremely confident in his medical and surgical care. I'm just 24 hours post op and my vision is already phenomenal in near, intermediate and distant vision. This is going to improve my quality of life significantly! Thank you

I recently visited this office for an eye surgery consultation and was very impressed from start to finish. The furniture and overall environment were comfortable and calming, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and my appointment ran promptly without unnecessary waiting. While waiting for my eyes to dilate, I was given the option to use massage chairs and listen to calming music, which was a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more relaxing. When I met with Dr. Robert F. Melendez, I was especially impressed by his professionalism and straightforward honesty. Although I was ultimately told that I am not a good candidate for eye surgery at this time, Dr. Melendez took the time to explain--in great detail--why the procedure would not be beneficial for me. He clearly explained that individuals in their mid-30s to mid-40s may not be ideal candidates, as vision can continue to change with age. I truly appreciated the honest, professional opinion rather than being pushed toward a procedure that wasn't right for me. This transparency gave me a much better understanding of my options and a clearer timeframe for when I may revisit surgery in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to return and would confidently recommend Dr. Melendez and his team to others.

Fantastic experience, I am seeing 20/10 after PRK six weeks ago. Dr. Melendez is very informative, explains things incredibly well, and has an insta-trust personality--I come from a family of opthamologists (3 uncles/grandpa/ 2 cousins) but they are all in the Bay Area, so I feel totally lucky to have such a great Dr. in New Mexico. I was able to chat with my uncle who specializes in refractive surgery and I feel like I got great service here in ABQ. Also, so glad Juliette is opening another branch in Santa Fe closer to home. I had lasic, and then prk years later, and I still love waking up each day and not having to grab glasses or contacts--from jumping in lakes to skiing, or just getting up in the morning it is 100% absolutely work the cost of eye surgery. It's so awesome not just to see, but seeing really, really well. 100% recommend Juliette Eye institute--support staff was really amazing too.

There were other places I could have chosen for my cataract surgery but I chose Juliette Eye Institute because they are THE BEST. Dr. Melendez is the ultimate professional, is kind and personable and made my nervous self feel safe. All the staff are amazing and the office is comfortable and beautiful. They really do make you feel special. My surgery went very well and my end result was much better than I expected. I highly recommend Dr. Melendez!

Juliette Eye Institute is not simply an outstanding surgical center for eye-related procedures. It's also among the best medical outfits of any sort that I've encountered in three different time zones over the past half-century. Dr. Melendez and his friendly, informed staff offer thoroughly professional, expert, and genuinely caring treatment using cutting-edge techniques in an in-office surgical facility with the latest ophthalmic equipment. In my case I had cataract surgery and was fitted with light adjustable lens. The pre- and post-surgical attention I received, including followup calls from Dr. Melendez and his staff, both addressed my (many!) questions and assuaged my concerns. Simply offering free medical transport to and from the office on the day of my surgery greatly eased my experience, as I live alone. In all I can't recommend highly enough Juliette Eye Institute.

I originally went in looking for icl but unfortunately was not a candidate. Instead I got rle with panoptics pro and it has been pretty amazing. Even being one of the lucky ones with minor side effects such as halos I have never seen so well at night or in general. However there is a learning curve, I had always held things close to my face and now it has to be farther away, if writing is outside of my vision range I have to get a bit closer, and low lighting or reading serial numbers on a firearm need more light. Totally worth not being reliant on glasses and contacts. As for Dr. Melendez and his staff were absolutely fantastic from start to finish, including my last step of polishing. I would absolutely recommend anyone to visit.

I'm so glad I had RLE surgery with Dr. Melendez! Everyone at the JEI is wonderful and my vision is now amazing! I had/have a fairly significant astigmatism which was difficult to correct even with glasses. I was always searching for the "sweet spot" in my progressive glasses prescription to see the TV, computer, or read a book. I now have the best vision I've had in years! I'm so appreciative for Dr. Melendez and his team! Many thanks.
