Pearle Vision

RUN, DON'T WALK, away from this place unless you don't care about money. This place is so expensive! Long story short. I ended up with an eye exam, average frames, and bifocal lens for over $1200. This is with insurance. Details. Went in for progressives and was up sold to the top lens's with all the add ons. Had to return because I couldn't see through lower portion of lens. They tried again still no luck. 3rd time back we decided to go away from the expensive progressive lens and still didn't work. Last time I said please just put the lowest prescription possible( which I already told them several times). During this visit they wanted to charge me an additional $200 to change the lens again. After arguing with the girls for several minutes I finally got them to do it for no extra charge. In hindsight it was the wrong prescription and not the expensive progressive lens that was the issue. There was no refund offered or any further effort to make things right. I attached the invoice and where you see the charge for $1130 there is not even a description. This seems borderline criminal to me. It's too late for me but I hope I help someone else from going through this. They made a lot of money off me. I hope they sleep well at night.

The short of it: do not go here because it's expensive as hell, and they do not honor their word. Details: I went to this Pearle vision because they had the frames I was looking for and they took my insurance. I have top of the line vision insurance. First I will say the the guy who helped me was helpful friendly and knew what he was doing. My insurance covered the cost of the $270 frames completely. It also covered a fair amount of the other things. The total cost for these glasses with progressive lenses and all the coatings (which you can't opt out of) was just over $900. After insurance I still had to pay $430. What does this say about our country when a pair of glasses cost $900. That's as much as a nice set of tires! I live 3 hours away and needed the glasses to be shipped to me as taking one day off of work to get glasses is enough. As I paid for the glasses the guy helping me said that the shipping would be free. I thought that was nice as the glasses were so expensive. Today I got a call saying the glasses were ready for me to pick up and I told the guy that I needed them shipped to me. He said that it would be $42. I mentioned that I was told it would be free. He said no. I talked to the manager and he said no. I said that is what I was told and that he should honor it. He said he would pay half. After some back and forth, and still a no, I agreed. I need the glasses. Transferred back to the first guy who had a hard time comprehending my card info, but finally got it. I do not recommend this Pearle vision for the reasons mentioned above. If you do go there lube up, because you are going to get bent over. Update after the owners response: Nice AI edited response, or you're just getting good at it. The only response I have is, nice deflection and way to not take responsibility. I think the number of one star reviews says it all. Take heed if your thinking about going here.

The quality of the glasses are good and that's the reason for my vote. The pricing is really pricey but the staff makes up for it with their customer service. Any of their low rating reviews are because of price, I originally gave a rating low because of the pricing, but when you think about it, quality glasses are hard to come by. If you have the money to spend then it's def worth it, if you're on a budget then this probably isn't the best place to go. The staff is really cool though. I've never had a problem with any of them. They're the main reason for my high rating

My experience with Dr. Pacheco has always been positive. I value and have followed her advice over the years. It has not failed me. She takes her time, and explains every test so that I understand.

I just recently purchased some Meta Ray-Ban glasses. Dr. Pacheco was very good at explaining everything to me. I got my new glasses. The new glasses are awesome but I was very very happy with the lenses. Just Crystal clear on point so far they are the best lenses I've had and owned. The glasses are great in themselves, but I'm very happy with the prescription on the lenses. I most definitely will be returning from my following pairs in the future. Thanks again very happy.

This was my first time being seen here. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left all of the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Eden is the one who helped me with choosing glasses. The glasses I had previously from my old doctor had bifocals. I hated them and could not get used to them. They gave me a headache and it made me very dizzy walking while wearing them. So instead of wearing them and being able to see, I decided I would rather not have the headaches and dizziness and not be able to see. I was not familiar with progressive lenses so when Eden suggested them I was unsure if I wanted them. My previous glasses were either see far, or see up close. There was no middle ground. Eden was very informative. She sat with me and explained exactly how they worked and why she thought I would like them much better than my bifocals. I decided to give them a try, and I am SO glad I did! They were easy to get used to and I can finally see because I am able to wear them all the time with no issues. It made a huge difference and a much nicer experience going to a place where the staff actually takes the time to sit with their patients and explain everything and make sure they are comfortable with their glasses. A big "Thank You" to Eden and all the rest of the staff for helping me be able to see again!!

I recently tried to schedule an appointment with this office, I was then called and told the Dr won't be in office that day, no problem. So when I got the call to reschedule I was told that since I only wanted the eye exam and didnt plan on purchasing my glasses through them my appointment would have to me scheduled about 4 month out due to them only wanting customers willing to max out there benefits before the end of the year. Reply to there response: That's very untrue, I immediately checked your site tosee all available appointments for the whole following week( at least 5 opening everyday) but I was specifically told "Since your not planning on purchasing your glasses here, were prioritizing patients that do" My appointment wouldve been moved to March of 2026. I was able to schedule an appointment with eyeglass world for litterally that same date and time, got my appointment with 0 issue and no questions whether I'd make a purchase there. So not sure if your front desk needs better training or your just trying to not look bad for turning away patients.

A total sham - book an appointment on the weekend and they REQURE you buy the glasses BEFORE the exam????? Never was told about it before the appointment or included in the text or email. Just by the angry at the world owner, who is completely unreasonable. Just to clarify - if you have an appointment on the weekend the owner REQUIRES that you purchase an item that costs several hundreds of dollars BEFORE you know that you need it. Would he do this????? Probably not - but he wants YOU to do it. Do yourself a favor and don't give this business a nickel of your money. There are plenty other places to get your eyes checked. In response to the rebuttal from the owner - no I was NOT informed of that policy when I made the appointment and I was not informed of the policy when I arrived in fact I was 30 minutes into the appointment when I was told - by YOU!!!! You were the first person to communicate that policy. I invite you to bring the receipts, show the text that you sent me about the policy - the email that you sent about it - the recording of the phone call when I was told. The policy notification that I signed when I arrived - so we are supposed to take you on your word???? Yes, I was offered another appointment - that is true. However, I work Monday - Friday and I was there at the time and made the call. But the fact remains (by looking at the multiple reviews citing the exact same problem) you DO NOT notify people about your policy. No matter what you say - because if I knew I would not have driven up from Los Lunas. Regardless - you will NEVER get another dime from me, my family, friends and nearly everyone that I know who wears glasses.
