I took a chance and stopped at this location and was immediately greeted by a staff person who was assisting another customer. Within seconds I was called up by Maria who said she could make the needed repairs on the spot to my sunglasses. If it weren't for Maria, I would have thrown away my favorite pair of Prada sunglasses. 10 stars Maria!
I went to pick up my children's glasses and the person who helped me, Maria, gave us the wrong ones. When I told her I wasn't sure if those were the correct glasses, I asked if I could go to my car to get my phone so I could call my kids and confirm. She told me I couldn't because they were already closing.
She let me use the office phone, but the call was not clear and hard to hear. Because of that, the glasses ended up being mixed up. On top of that, I was charged more than expected.
A friend recommended this place to me, but after this experience I would not feel comfortable recommending it to others. I hope the situation can be reviewed and corrected.
I have really enjoyed my experience here at Stanton optical. They have done an extensive eye exam for me as well as my son and soon they will
be performing one for my wife as well. I highly recommend them. The employees keep this store very neat and clean. They are very knowledgeable. Also, very kind and helpful.
"Ariel" assistant manager central/atrisco Albuquerque NM.
Thank you all so very much,
Robert Ross
I recently visited the Stanton Optical location off Atrisco, and from the very beginning, my experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. During my eye exam, one of the managers rudely interrupted in the middle of the exam. Because of ongoing side conversations and distractions, I do not feel I received a proper or thorough eye exam at all.
When I returned to pick up my glasses and exchange frames, the environment was incredibly uncomfortable. One of the staff members was dealing with personal drama involving someone she was seeing and that person's girlfriend showing up at the store. This unfolded in front of customers and created a very unprofessional and awkward atmosphere.
I went back a third time to correct issues with my glasses, hoping things would improve--but the same lack of professionalism continued. At that point, I nearly gave up and decided to take my business elsewhere.
I'm very glad I did.
I went to the Uptown Stanton Optical location, and the difference was night and day. They were professional, respectful, and extremely thorough. They corrected every mistake made at the Atrisco location, had a much wider selection of frames, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free.
I will never return to the Atrisco location. However, I would absolutely recommend that anyone willing to make the drive go to the Uptown location instead--they truly know how to provide quality service and care.
Does not disclose that they only have telehealth, no present optometrist. Local tech kept insisting there was no equipment fault (zero correction lens that was clear as day *not* a zero correction) and they could not compete exam. Literally had a pre-printed sheet ready with other businesses, just have that and said to go elsewhere. No apologies, no admittance of fault, complete waste of everyone's time. Had better not try to bill for this since they couldn't complete.
Loli and Ashley were just the sweetest from start to finish. They even helped me pick out frames :) overall, this was a really great, very easy process and experience. I definitely recommend Stanton.
If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I've been a customer of Staton Optical for over 5 years and never have I had issues until I walked into this establishment. The moment I walked in the front reception girl was worried about conversations with her co workers. I arrived early thinking my apt would be on time. NOPE! It took TWO hours from start to finish. I live an hour away!! What concerned me most was HIIPA violations, as I sat in an open waiting area and had to hear the "assistant manager" walk around asking employees if they remember seeing "patients name" . I couldn't believe my eyes or ears.
While reading other reviews seems like this is a common occurrence. Have they solved the issue?? Seems like a NO. Staff is still rude, establishment is still treated like a hang out spot for employees homies & HIIPA violations are still happening.
Do yourself and your eyes the favor of going to a PROFESSIONAL establishment. One that takes Pride in Patient Care.
I would like the thank Maria for her support in finding the eye glass frames. Ms. Maria explained how to correctly find frame fit for me. She explained what my insurance covers in a way that I understood it better. She made me feel comfortable with my vision test and with picking out my frames. Ms. Maria has great Customer Service and I would recommend my family and friends because of how well she treated me during my visit.
