Gallup Eye Group

I was a loyal patient with them for 5+yrs untill October of 2025. The Doctor continuously told me about a "tear in my eye" every appointment I had, I didn't ask further questions nor did they give me information on the location or how severe. They just stated they were going to "monitor it". Got a second appointment from GIMC in Tohatchi & detailed the Doctor over there what Eye Group told me & he stated, "I don't know, why they're telling you to just 'monitor it', you need surgery ASAP! Your retina is tearing." I was so baffled, disappointed & frustrated. I have an education of some degrees but not as many or high as a PhD. if you are a doctor. I am putting my full trust in you & being told that, the Doctor in Tohatchi stated, "I could go blind at any moment". If I had not gotten that second appointment. I was sadden & frustrated due to the convinience of having an eye clinic close in town & individuals I thought I could trust due to their level of education. I am not longer going to set up appointments due to this very concerning situation again which saddens me, I felt so welcomed in the clinic.

Great staff and doctors, friendly and knowledgeable. I've been going to them since they opened, I am very happy with their services.

This place is legit. I have never seen a more thorough exam in any doctor's office. They have also done multiple in-house repairs and replacements for my kids' glasses. They are better than any office I have used in Albuquerque. Highly recommened!

I was hopeful given the positive reviews, but I came in with an urgent issue and I felt dismissed and rushed the entire time (except with the technician, who I didn't get his name). The doctor looked right through me, displaying no level of compassion for my experience and I didn't even get a chance to ask what I wanted to ask to address my concerns. I definitely will not come back and I'm going to find another doctor in town to see. If you need anything other than a basic prescription, I wouldn't recommend this place :/

I had an exam and purchased new lenses and a Scott Harris frame a year ago February. Between my insurance coverage and my $500 contribution the bill was $1,000. I went with the most upscale lens because I was told it would help my reading. I have many complaints and concerns as the upscale lenses did nothing to improve my reading. An exam with another optometrist sent me to an ophthalmologist and cataracts are the cause of my reading problems. This new doctor asked the right questions and I have a surgery scheduled. A pair of $1,000 glasses, as the exam was completely covered by my insurance, was not the remedy for my vision problems. The other complaint regards the Scott Hansen frames that were a constant source of aggravation as the temples would not stay tightened in place and required constant screw tightening and adjustment. Even then, they were constantly sliding down my nose. When I called The Eye Group office, they immediately replaced them as they were under warranty in the first year. Sadly, it made no difference as the second pair did the exact same thing. In conclusion, a referral to an ophthalmologist would have made all the difference and saved me a year and a half of chronic aggravation. I will celebrate post surgery when I'm able to throw these glasses in the trash-- where they belong.

Very fast and easy check-in. Jamie assisted me with my check-in process she was very kind and professional. She answered all the questions I had concerning my eyes and vision. Would highly recommend Gallup Eye Group to anyone in need of eye care.

Best eye doctor here in town. I felt so welcomed here and everyone was so nice and pleasant to work with. Alisha F and Brandy are amazing at what they do and I'm so glad to have them here in Gallup! Definitely recommend Gallup Eye Group for all your vision needs.

I was in need of a new pair of glasses and was recommended Gallup Eye Group by a friend. I can see why I was recommended to them. Everyone that works there was super helpful and so kind to me through the whole process of getting my new glasses. To the doctors, the techs, and the ladies working at the front desk. All were so so amazing!! Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of new glasses or contacts!!
