They're located inside the mall near Hobby Lobby. If you're showing up for a walk-in, I recommend getting there early as there's a sign-up sheet that fills up fast. I ended up waiting about an hour 20 to be seen after showing up at 9:20AM. But it was worth the wait.
The staff was kind and proactive in communicating wait times and what to expect. I sensed no rudeness at all, perhaps the staff has changed out since previous reviews.
Dr. Khoury was exceptional! Very compassionate and patient with me as I had some high anxiety and came with questions that he answered thoughtfully. I highly recommend coming here!
Got a call from my sister saying dr khoury grabbed my 8 year old niece on the knees and told her he was going to tie her down if she didn't sit still because she was fidgeting and nervous. My niece is border line autistic and possibly has ADHD that is why she was nervous. Dr khoury had NO RIGHT TO TOUCH MY NIECE AND SPEAK TO HER THE WAY HE DID! I hope whoever reads this rethinks going to this doctor I know I will not be bringing my daughter or myself here anymore! He also got mad at my sister for going to other places for glasses and contacts and refused to see her and got in her face so she walked out of his office!
Dr Khoury himself is a kind and decent doctor. I have been his patient for many years, as well as my children. However, the staff is awful. They are always rude on the phone with me and always make me feel terrible. The billing is a nightmare. They don't send statements or do follow up calls, and then blind side you with years old balances you knew nothing about. No explanation, no follow through. As a former bookkeeper, I'm shocked that balances are not followed up on properly. I tried to schedule a routine eye exam and was told I had a balance I know nothing about, and could not see the provider until the balance was paid. I have not received a single phone call, statement, invoice, etc in the last 2 and 1/2 years that the balance has been apparently due. The staff here is what drives patients away. I'm deeply saddened that I now have to find a new eye doctor. The support staff told me I wasn't allowed to be his patient anymore after 7 years of perfect patient status. Excuse me?! Then they threatened to send the balance I knew nothing about to collections if I did pay it immediately. Um, you should have notified me of this balance 2.5 years ago! And NOW you threaten collections? Ridiculous. We will miss seeing Dr Khoury but his staff just lost three of his patients (my children and I). So sad to see awful staff ruin a great clinic.
Dr. Khoury is an awesome Dr. and they accepted my insurance, but the front office staff are AWFUL! My son got contacts and the offer was free sunglasses with the purchase of 12 months of contacts. When we showed the office staff the sunglasses he chose, they told us our insurance had to pay before he is able to choose and order. I went back when I received a phone call that 6 months of contacts was ready to be picked up. I went to pick up the contacts and I figured I would be able to get my glasses prescription, but was told they had to receive the payment from my insurance company first. This is an inconvenience to me because I know my insurance company will pay them. I don't believe they have ever denied a claim with Khoury eye care. I am looking for a new eye doctor for my family. I will use Dr. Khoury as a very last option. I do not recommend them if you are using insurance. Also, if his front office staff do not have a change in how they communicate with the public. They need to let people know all this information up front, and not until the last minute.
I would give zero stars if I could I booked a 10 & 10:30 appointment they gave us 9 and 9:15 failed to let us know of time changes and were very rude about it stating it was our fault. Proceeded to be rude so I walked out. NED NEW STAFF OR BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING!!
Khoury Eye Care is my new go-to. I was a walk-in patient at the beginning of this year, and not only were the staff very friendly, but also very helpful. They helped me with ordering contacts as well as fitting me with a pair perfect for my eyes. I'd never worn contacts before, so I was a little nervous about getting fitted for them, but Dr. Khoury made it easy. He even improved my prescription, and caught an astigmatism that my last optometrist hadn't.
Rude customer service, Avery complaining how customer standing at the front door looking in and she says idk why they looking at me.
Change frames and she couldn't figure out the adjustments.
Personal issue on da other worker who left her by herself.
I'll just take my business elsewhere
Overall displeased with the way the doctor interacted with me and his unwillingness to actually listen to my concerns and problems. Went in the day after Easter for a routine exam and a contact exam. Was unhappy with how rushed I felt during the visit, but shrugged it off because I was a walk in and was mostly happy someone was able to fit me in. Glasses came back a week and a half later (purchased at Walmart) and took a little longer than normal to adjust to, but otherwise okay. Only downside of that aspect is I was quoted $63 +tax for a routine eye exam over the phone and instead charged $89 for an "intermediate" exam that felt quite a lot less than my experience with routine. Contacts, on the other hand, gave me crazy headaches and seemed to differ from my glasses prescription. Long story short, after two follow ups and much frustration at feeling unheard and patronized, prescription still feels off and I've been told that I don't have a problem. What they fail to tell you when they fit you with trial lenses is that if you are unhappy and wish to go elsewhere, you are financially responsible for the trial lenses. Went in to get a refund of the non-optional prepayment for 2 boxes of contacts and found out the hard way. I feel ripped off and now have to find another doctor if I want contacts. I'd avoid this doctor of contacts are what you're wanting.
