As soon as I had enter this place of business the two lady's in the front already gave attitude and was no help with the check in process. I get it people had bad days shrug it off. My mom was called to the back I followed due to her immobility. I was asked to wait in the back waiting area. Fine, the way I was greeted to do so rubbed me the wrong way. Just her tone of attitude and slyness. I sit there as the same girl who ask to do so gives me an ugly look then proceeds to talk about my chart. When we get to the room she states that I seen a different physician in the past and how they don't take each others patients. She proceeded in a tone with attitude. Before I could explain my reasoning it sounded as if I was being denied services. Matter of fact I was. Because I confronted the situation in why I was being spoken to so ill from the beginning. She said she didn't have to put up with me walked to the door and ushered me out. Fine no problem. The way this situation was handled very unprofessional mind you I only told her that her first impression and tone goes a long way, as she scoffed and continued to get mad. She ran to that door so fast with I intimidated look. So I had no problem with leaving. I had to wait in the lobby for my mom. That's when I hear her go to the front window staff to tell them the situation as they laughed and made remarks about me. Very immature and shameful for a company to speak so freely about patients especially when the whole lobby can hear. If you are a new patients looking to seek treatment I would not recommend this establishment. They won't give their names which is profound to list anyway but never in my life I had to deal with medical staff the way I did today. She even tried to say have a good day in a ill manner as if I was in the wrong. Her bedside manner was so poor. Eye rolling, scoffing, pure pettiness. I know she was young and we all have been in situations before similar to these circumstances but there is ways to go about these situation's.

Just had the BEST time! Dr. Shelley can speak Danish and I can speak a bit of Norwegian, which is close, so I greeted him in Norwegian! Yes, he was stunned and delighted. His poor tech was completely befuddled. He. Was. A. Hoot! He was also very professional and thorough.

I had an urgent eye problem and they took me in as a new patient the same day I called for an appointment. The front office staff were very helpful and Dr. Shelly was very thorough with the exam and referred me to another specialist for further examination. I am grateful they took me immediately in while other providers would not see me for months.

Dr Shelley and his team paid close attention to my concerns, patiently listened to my questions and thoroughly answered them. I had been experiencing dry, burning eyes for some time, thinking my symptoms were due to allergies. Dr. Shelley found the real cause of my problem and prescribed a specific eye drop that is affording me relief! Very patient oriented.

This was my second visit to the Southwest Eye Institute. I found that everyone was more than happy to help me navigate my way around the office. From check-in to checkout all I saw was smiling faces. I personally give Dr Shelly and staff 5 stars and would gladly give more if there were more to give. If ever in need of a good eye doctor, look no further, because you won't find anyone better, imo.

The doctor and staff are very pleasant and efficient. The eye care exam is thorough and the doctor explains the results so it is easy to understand. Highly recommended!

Personally, I was treated very well. The staff was courteous and friendly and explained whatever they were going to do to me prior to the procedure. The Dr was also friendly and didn't rush through my examination. Will definitely come back for my next checkup.
