We had an excellent experience during my mother's visit to her eye doctor. From the smooth and welcoming check-in process to the outstanding care provided by optometric technician Cesar C., every step was handled with professionalism and compassion. Dr. Javier De La Torre and Dr. Villalobos are truly top-notch--thorough, attentive, and deeply committed to their patients' care. Exceptional service all around.

They gave me a prescription for eyeglasses with a typo in one of the numbers, so when I had glasses made elsewhere (since they don't have glasses there) I could not see out of them. Then, when I called to verify the correct prescription, they refused to check if the written prescription was correct or not. The year before they had an error in my contact lens prescription but could correct it then. I do not recommend going here, and if you do verify that the prescriptions they give you are correct.

This office is so unprofessional. I only used this office because it was the only o e I could find that would perform my surgery and that accepted my insurance. The surgical team is pleasent, although my procedure did get rescheduled 3 times. On my first post surgical appointment I had an appointment at 11, it was past 1pm and I had still not seen the surgeon. This is unacceptable. For an office to blatantly disrespect a patient's time is effort to come in and be seen, only to wait 2+ hours and still have 5 patients ahead of you should not be the standard for any office. I understand that the surgeon's time is valuable, but do not disrespect your patients by making their time less valuable than theirs. I will see him one time, just to make sure everything is healing properly, and never again coming back to this office.

The team at SEC are amazing. From the second you walk in the door to your final checkout, everyone treated me with kindness and dignity. Dr Petraka is an awesome Dr. who cares for Me like I was his Dad. Great office

I had an appointment on 12/18/25 for a check-up on my AMD after having cataract surgery in August. I really enjoying meeting Dr. Murray each visit, but unfortunately every wait time is over 3 hours long and extremely uncomfortable going from office to office having tests and then waiting, waiting and waiting even longer. I always arrive earlier than scheduled for all appointments and it appears that people who came in later than I always get called back first. There was only one person left in the main waiting room when I left the office after 5:00 pm.

Had cataract surgery and needed some additional post surgical procedures. During my treatment interim my insurance changed but my top notch treatment did not. Highly recommend..still.

Quick and efficient check in and friendly staff. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of Dr. De La Torre. He thoroughly reviewed my exam results answering any questions and explaining the health of my eyes. He was friendly, engaging, and as stated earlier, highly professional.

Dr Petracca was great and did a very thorough eye exam. There was a 2+ hour wait, but the office worked with me because I had another appointment after this one. I scheduled my next appointment first thing in the morning.
