NABA did a kid sight vision screening at my child's Pre-K. Because of this screening we went to see an eye doctor and he did end up having an astigmatism. He needs glasses and I wouldn't have known if not for this screening.

Sue the mobility teacher is awesome I became completely blind in 2024 and Sue went out of her way to help me with everything I needed to be independent and now I go hiking through the woods being blind better than I ever did before thank you Sue Kyle is amazing computer tech teacher I'm working with him currently but unfortunately right now NABA only has one computer tech so it's hard to get appointments with Kyle I understand that he's a true amazing teacher is not his fault at all he is very good with his job and technology but they need to get another computer tech to help Kyle because he's being overworked He's a very good teacher though and he goes out of his way to help his students David was the amazing teacher but he retired and what David did was so amazing and I got to say I graduated from school not knowing how to read Lauren and David worked amazing with my reading they said a blind person did not need to know how to read or write David worked amazing with me and Lauren who took over Davis spot is working amazing and Lauren taught me techniques that I never knew before it would help me read better she showed me to go a couple words ahead and then go back so I could read the word and understand what it is by signing out and no one was in the sentence and it works amazing and Lauren is teaching me braille picking up where David left off David retired he was a good teacher I recommend this place to anyone who needs assistant but if you need computer tech Kyle is the best teacher you can get but be patient and understand you're going to have to work at the commissioner blind is helping you you got to understand it is not Kyle's fault with the appointments but the commission of line will try and push you and say do you still need computer class say yes because Kyle is a true amazing teacher he just is very booked that's how good of a teacher he is it's hard to make appointments with him but when you get appointments with him I promise you he's the best computer tech you will ever meet he is a genius The school did not want to give me an education when I graduated from 12th grade this place the Northeast association of the blind was there for me and they are helping me currently and they're even helping me with other things cooking they gave me things I needed to cook independently being completely blind and it's amazing the stuff they gave me they gave me a thermometer so I know when I'm sick to take my temperature if I'm need to go to the doctor's they gave me a scale to weigh myself they gave me a special boiling pot so I do not get burnt they gave me special oven mitts they gave me a talk and tape measure for repairs on my home and building homemade furniture that I do they have so much technology if you need any assistance please reach out to these people they are amazing and they will guide you the right way trust them and let them work with you they know what's best and they will guide you the right way
