First time visiting and my experience was very positive. I had a thorough eye exam, my insurance was accepted, I was set up with contacts, ordered new lenses for my frames and left satisfied, in about an hour. Sophia was very helpful, Dr Honeyman was very professional and patient.

I was having trouble finding an eye office that would take my insurance. I called and Sophia looked up my info over the phone confirming my insurance was okay there. Sophia was also great in person when I came to pick out frames and order glasses. She went above and beyond! Thank you for your assistance

Before calling for an appointment I read mixed reviews and being forever an optimist, I thought "Our experience will be better than this." I was wrong. The staff was not personable, or welcoming. The Dr never did introduce himself, he adjusted/hit a faulty monitor in the exam room to get it working correctly. I called the office to get a prescription faxed elsewhere and sat on hold for 30 minutes without hearing even a greeting from the person who picked up the phone to place me on hold over and over again. When I asked why I had been waiting on hold for so long, the answer was that she was unaware of how long I was on hold. Bottom line is, GO ELSEWHERE! Don't waste your time with this office.

First I have to mention,please ignore the bad reviews about this place.everyone was very nice and friendly at this location including Doctor.Sofia took her time to explain everything to help my daughter to get her glasses.they have extremely good deals on glasses.they even offered us the same day delivery,it was very kind.I would never go any where else except this location.thank you guys.I truly appreciate the way you guys treated my daughter.

Tried calling to see if my glasses were ready. Can't even leave a message on the voicemail. Nobody ever answers the phone and can't leave a voicemail because it's always full. What doctors office or any kind of I place doctors office has a full voicemail or never answers their phone.

Fantastic service and great results! I can't remember why I decided to try Sterling, but I'm so glad I did. They were happy to order lenses for my existing frames (rare!), took great measurements, ordered the lenses, and made them while i waited. Lenses are great. Dr. Honeyman did my eye exam this year, and I was curious to see if he could make my ocular dream come true: single vision computer glasses so I don't have to crane my neck to see through the right part of my progressive bifocals to work. I love those glasses, too!!! If you have high standards for glasses AND service (live live in Buffalo, NY), try Sterling on Transit!

I've been meaning to write this. I have been a customer here for years and typically only visit the location on the Blvd. I was lucky to have stopped by this location, to have been met with a familiar face named Sofia. The service she provided was superb. Of course I was in because my son broke his glasses. She had full knowledge of the inventory and knew there was an exact pair in the back. She was able to recruit the other associate to assist me while she greeted other customers. This is certainly my new favorite location as the selection and customer service is the best!

I've been going to Sterling Optical for several years now to get my glasses and prescription filled and had been happy with their services up until now. I went to them back on December 27, 2022 for an eye exam and new glasses and it's been over three weeks now and counting and I still have not received them. I called the day before yesterday and spoke to Emily and was told that part of the order was in but the other part, was not. She said that she would call them to see what the status of them were and then call me back and I have heard nothing from her since. They have reduced business hours at this location and I don't know if they are having a labor shortage or what, but as a customer I feel that efficient service and open and dedicated communication goes a long way to keeping customers that you do business with. I was also told when I called to make that appointment with them that I wanted to be billed and have it on my insurance for the 2022 calendar year so if I need to get another prescription and glasses that would be covered for 2023 that there would be no problem. So far I'm thinking now that what I was told will not come to pass. Call me hopeful but very disappointed ....
